Kevin Owens came face-to-face with Logan Paul after Paul announced an eight-man tournament to crown a No. 1 contender to his United States championship.

Owens told Paul that the ring is his world and he would win the tournament and end the nightmare of Paul as a champion. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came out, taking shots at Owens before he knocked Theory from the ring with a punch.

Kevin Owens def. Grayson Waller via pinfall with a roll-up. Theory interfered throughout the match while Paul, who had been on commentary, was upset by Owens' win.

Randy Orton chooses SmackDown over Raw

Early in the show, Paul Heyman confronted SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis about Aldis' plans to offer Orton a SmackDown contract. Aldis told Heyman that he was going to sign Orton, even if he had to offer up the entire Bloodline to get the deal done.

Orton came out to close the show while Aldis and Pearce waited with contracts in hand. Pearce offered an immediate shot at the world heavyweight championship, facing the winner of the upcoming match between Seth Rollins and Jey Uso. Aldis offered up The Bloodline, saying Orton could get revenge on the men who sidelined him for 18 months. Before Orton could make a decision, Heyman came out from backstage to tell Orton that The Bloodline would make his decision for him. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa made their way to the ring before brawling with Orton and eventually getting the upper hand. LA Knight made the save, allowing Orton to hit Jimmy Uso with an RKO. Orton grabbed both contracts before throwing the Raw contract out of the ring and signing a deal with SmackDown.

Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Cody Rhodes during a Rhodes promo.

After discussing WarGames, Rhodes was interrupted by Nakamura on the video board.

Nakamura said it was his job to set Rhodes free and let him evolve and he would no longer be patient about it. Nakamura then appeared behind Rhodes and sprayed him in the face with red mist

Drew McIntyre attacked Seth Rollins after confronting Rollins during a promo.

McIntyre said he would put his issues with Jey Uso on the back burner because he needed to focus on the world heavyweight championship. Rollins said McIntyre deserved a rematch but others may deserve a shot more before saying he would defend the title against Uso next week.
McIntyre responded with a headbutt before beating Rollins down until Uso made the save and superkicked McIntyre from the ring.

Sami Zayn confronted McIntyre later in the show, telling McIntyre he was acting like a spoiled brat. McIntyre said he understood and would work his way back up the ladder, starting with a match with Zayn next Monday.

Randy Orton Scores Win In His Own WWE Return

Orton opened the show with an in-ring promo. Orton talked about choosing to return at Survivor Series because the one thing he had not done in his career was take part in WarGames before saying that he has a bagful of receipts for every member of The Bloodline. Rhea Ripley then made her way to the ring. Ripley said she never took Orton for someone who would team with someone who tried to end his career or someone who would have their big return upstaged. Ripley then informed Orton of Judgment Day's rise while he was on the sidelines. After Orton rebuffed Ripley's suggestion that he join Judgment Day, she said he'd made the group his enemy, leading to Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh jumping him from behind only for Orton to run them both off and say he was going to find Adam Pearce to make a match with Mysterio. Later in the show, Jey Uso apologized to Orton for his role in The Bloodline in the past, which Orton accepted.

Randy Orton def. Dominik Mysterio via pinfall with an RKO. Country music star Jelly Roll -- who had been involved in the show all night -- took care of JD McDonagh for Orton, setting up the finish.

CM Punk Makes His Return To WWE RAW

CM Punk came out to close the show two nights after returning to WWE at Survivor Series. Punk said it seems hell froze over because he was standing in a WWE ring with a live microphone in his hand. Punk said he was trying to think of the way to explain his return and said it came down to two words, saying, "I've changed." Punk then said, "I'm home."

Punk said he is now "home" before saying WWE fans never stopped chanting his name because the voiceless found their voice and he came back because he loves the fans. Once upon a time, a wiseman told him he would have to leave and come back to get what he wanted and now it feels like a happy reunion because everyone backstage is happy to see him. Punk grinned as he said everyone -- well, almost everyone -- has welcomed him with open arms but those who aren't are afraid because the best in the world has been missing for nearly a decade.

Booker T has addressed the rumours of LA Knight having a backstage heat due to "Bad Attitude".

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T claimed that he heard LA Knight has a bad attitude backstage in WWE. Despite that, Booker T said that as long as the boss likes what Knight is doing, he is cool.

“I’ve heard guys say, ‘LA Knight, he’s got a bad attitude. I don’t know about this guy, he’s got a bad attitude.’ My thing is this, I’ve never really cared about getting heat with the boys as long as the boss liked everything that was going on. If the boss liked it, I was cool.”

Knight kicked off the show by boasting how he's been a step ahead of Reigns at every turn. He was soon interrupted by the undisputed WWE universal champion. Reigns called Knight a redneck cosplaying as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Their braggadocious back-and-forth concluded with SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis and referees breaking up a shoving match.

Faceoff between Sikoa and Cena was scheduled for the evening. Heyman predicted Cena's doom but was cut off by The Bloodline's enforcer. Sikoa told Heyman not to waste his breath on the fans and that they were here to speak with Cena. Queue the 16-time world champion. Cena hit the stage, holding up his "Never Give Up" towel before passing it to a young fan. Sikoa had a message for Cena on behalf of Reigns. This was an opportunity for Cena to say goodbye to his fans before Sikoa put him down for good. Cena -- sporting a raspy voice following a Samoan Spike from Sikoa last week -- said he'd cook Sikoa in short order.
