CHAPTER 1
The Battle:
I have a plan.

Nigeria: year 1750 before colonization and amalgamation of Nigeria’s southern and northern protectorates.

These regions were dominated by three powerful kingdoms or empires, and they were, the Oyo empire, the Islamic Kanem-Bornu empire and the Igbo kingdom of Onitsha.

These kingdoms or empires have been in lots of wars against each other for year's and had fought off each other, and prevented domination, then these powerful empires decided to make peace with each other by signing peace treaties, in the agreement the kings of this great empires, swore an oat never to attack each other, to seal the agreement they decided to build embassies in each of this kingdom, sending a good number of their people( influential and powerful families) to each of these embassies, and agreeing that any sign of attack on any of these empires would lead to the ex*****on of these families.

But the a new a powerful kingdom arised from the north, the Kano empire and her king was set out to conquer these already existing empires.

I am Mbadiwe of the kingdom in Onitsha and I am your guide as we explore the story of these great empire.

Brief intro.
My name is Mbadiwe, the commander in the kings regiment, a group of elite force that serves the king and protect the kingdom, I am what most youths if my days would call a successful man, but some jealous people would say, he is just an over privileged child, I was appointed personal bodyguard to the king and commander of the kings regiment, after the passing if my father who held the position, but not before proving my self a worthy and a better warrior before the king, I am young, smart, skilled, strong, and handsome, I am Mbadiwe.

I went over to my mothers village ( Umuaroli a small village west of onitsha mostly occupied by farmers, trades men, craftsmen, a few warriors and hunters: generally a peaceful village) to morn the passing of my grandmother and her final burial, I also went there with two of my friends who are also warriors ( Chike and Obidike) after the burial rites and other activities, it was the end of the day when the loud alarm sounded from the town dryer, announcing the village was under attack, and the invaders were men from the north, men from the north?
You mean the borno empire Mbadiwe exclaimed, I thought we signed a peace treaty and have a good number of their influential men here he thought to him self, before going on to call his friends to himself and alertong them of the emergency, he than went on to visit the village chieftain asking him to summon the village youths to the chiefs house, the chieftain sent out the town cryer and he called all the youths to the chiefs house.

When the youths were all gathered Mbadiwe delivered a speech:

Good people of Umuaroli, peaceful, loving and kind, I know you have witnessed many years of peace that you no longer see the need for warriors, but now war was brought to your doors, are you going to fold hands and watch as these invaders take over your land while you run and hide?
Or are you going to join me and my men as we defend this land that has given us so many good things, fortune, a wife, children, mother or a father, this land has given to each and every one of us something worth fighting for, even the air we breath hence the need to protect her in turn.

After his speech the atmosphere was tensed and the youths morale high, just as he needed, he then asked them to arrange them selves according to their various occupations, farmers, hunters, fishermen, craftsmen and warriors. He then further spoke.

I don't need all of you to fight with me, just some few brave and strong men to ride out with me as we fight against this foe, he then selected all the warriors, all the hunters, a few farmers and lesser fisherman, then he told the rest to arm themselves and defend their homes as they went out to fight.
In total with him was 32 men including his friends.

Then Mbadiwe and the men with him made for the entrance of the village, they went through the villages center, through the villages square and to its entrance, cutting down and chasing the invaders, as they chased out the invaders they pursued them even further outside the village and further into a wide, empty and sandy field, where they were met with a strong resisting force of northern invaders who were over a hundred and fifty.
Mbadiwe held the frontline cutting and putting down tens of enemies force.

The battle field:
Mbadiwe: every warrior has his on the battle field, but I am my men’s frontline, I give them hope and courage to fight on,I hold up, delay, and weaken the enemies attacking force, I am the only reason these men are still fighting, hence I can't fall down, I can’t break, I can't give up.
Every warrior has his day on the battlefield and today seems to be mine, but how would I fall?

Mbadiwe charge forward, despite the slashes of sword he felt against his skin,
Everyone who managed to get a cut of him, he annihilated, he was steady, stiff and brazen, but this men were just more than he expected, and all he can the is to hold up the line, as he fights he was losing strength, hope and blood, bleeding from every sides but he knows better than to give up, at the brink of it all and the warrior was about giving his last, he heard a loud cheer and a battle cry coming from his men’s direction, he then turned around and when he saw what was happening, he shouted a big
Mbadiwe: yes, yes they came
He had sent message to Umu Oreze, a neighboring village that lost their respect and place in the kings council, after refusing to join the king in a war some years ago, (at that time of war the people of Umu Oreze held a rite to the gods to bring peace to the land, and during the period of performing the rite, fighting of any kind was forbidden.) so the king removed the village from his council members and pronouncing them cowards and people not to be trusted, in Mbadiwe message to the village chieftain he said.

great chief I know you must be angry, for the isolation and bad name your people have bore with them over this year's, I know you might not want to help, but I beg if you to come to umuaroli with your warriors as the village is under attack by northern invaders, I beg of you, this might be and opportunity for you to redeem your village good name and I promise if you join me in this battle, I personally will speak to the king on your behalf, that your village be reinstated in the kings council and all privileges you have been denied, returned to you, remember, all through the years of your isolation the people of Umuaroli was the only village that associated with you, even against the kings orders, they have been like a brother to you so, the ball is in your court, but do what is right.

As the warriors of Umu Oreze charged forward, Mbadiwe gave one last loud battle cry and also charged forward, as the chased and cut down the northern invaders.

After the battle the warriors returned to their homes, Mbadiwe and his friends went back to his grand mother’s house, the warrior was badly wounded and couldn’t go back to his king without treatment, so he sent out his friend to go back to the Palace and inform the king of the attack that took place in Umuaroli.

Set during Nigeria's pre-colonial: though some part of this story makes up our history, events and character are works of fiction.

Second case was reported in Lagos Nigeria 8am
One Baba Femi Tunde was discovered dead murdered by his wife mrs Femi the lather after a 30 minutes combat with ten police men said before her arrest
Mrs Femi: this is but a taste of eternity.
Third case was reported in Carlifornia U.S.A a judge handling a criminal case was murdered on the day of the hearing by the defendent of the suspect while facing trail the defendent Mr Peterson said
