Recipe for plantain mosa

1-2 ripe/overripe plantain
1/3 cup of water
2 teaspoon of yeast
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of chili pepper
100g of flour
1 tablespoon of milk

Procedure
* in a clean bowl, mashed the plantain
*in another clean bowl add in your flour, salt, yeast, milk and mix together
* Add in your water, mix together, cover and allow it to proof for 25 -30 minutes
* after proofing add your pepper to it and your mashed banana
*Fry with vegetable oil on a medium heat
* transfer to a paper towel and enjoy

Chocolate Cake Dessert
Ingredients
1 cup flour (all purpose or cake)
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt

*All ingredients should be at room temperature.

Instructions
1. In a large bowl add vegetable oil and sugar . Mix well .

2. Add vanilla and mix in the egg. Then add milk and mix again.

3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt , baking powder.
Mix gently until the wet and dry ingredients are well combined.

4. Pour the batter ( mixture) in an 8 inch square baking pan .

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 Degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or until well baked.

Serve with custard or ice cream .

RECIPE ALERT 🚨
BROWNIE BUTTER CAKE

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE BROWNIE

1 cup dark chocolate chips
¼ cup butter
1/4 sugar
1 whole egg
1/4 cup All purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon Instant coffee powder

For butter cake

1 cup All purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 Whole Eggs
3 tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

To begin with, Brownie Butter cake, preheat the oven at 180°C.
Grease or line an 8″ inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate, butter and coffee granules in a microwave. Once it is melted, add sugar in the melted chocolate and stir well and keep it aside to cool.
Add egg and vanilla extract and whisk again. Add sifted flour and fold in gently to make a batter.
Pour in the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 15 mins only. While the brownie.

The next step is to make the butter cake. Take butter and sugar in a bowl and beat until light and creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat it very nicely till it becomes creamy and frothy.
Sift flour and baking powder together and add into the egg mix. Fold in gently and slowly add milk to make a smooth and silky batter.
After 15 mins the brownie must be half done, remove the pan from the oven and pour in the cake batter over the brownie.
Gently to settle the air bubbles and put the pan inside the oven.
Reduce the oven temperature to 160 degrees C and bake for another 25-30 mins or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Take out the pan and let it rest on a wire rack for 10-15 mins. Carefully hold the parchment paper and lift the cake from the pan and keep it on a tray and allow it to cool completely.

If you need about 200 pieces of puff puff...this recipe will guide you

Recipe
3kg of flour
750g sugar
6 tablespoon yeast
13 cup of warm water
¼ cup of powder milk
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon nutmeg

Procedure

In a bowl sieve you flour,sugar, milk, nutmeg and salt and mix together

Add the yeast and mix together as well

Make a centre and add the water add begin mix together not too thick and watery

Cover and allow to rise for 1 hour

Heat up your oil and begin to scoop

When it turn golden brown bring out from oil

Note if you are using soft flour 13 cup of water is ok and if you are using hard flour you will be needing and extra water just little so that you won't end up with watery batter

This puff puff will serve about 50 people if package 4 pieces each and this recipe will also give you about 400 pieces of puff puff is scoop in smaller size

HOW TO MAKE CAKE WITHOUT OVEN

RECIPES
* 2 cups of flour
* 2 tablespoons of baking powder
* ¼ tablespoon of salt
* 1 cup of oil
* 4 eggs
* ½ cup of sugar
* 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
* ⅔ cup of liquid milk
* Pack of salt
PROCEDURES
* Add some salt into a pot, place in a rack to elevate the baking pan and preheat for 5-10mins
* Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Whisk properly and set aside.
* In a bowl, beat the eggs. Pour them into a blender, add the oil, sugar, liquid milk, vanilla extract and blend for 2mins.
* Add the blended ingredients into the dried ingredients and mix together properly using a spatula.
* Grease the baking pan using oil or butter. Dust some flour and remove the excess flour.
* Transfer the cake batter into the baking pan and tap it trice.
* Transfer it into the pot and bake for 50-60mins on medium heat.
* To check if the cake is ready, place a toothpick in the centre of the cake. Once it comes of neat then the cake is ready.
* Allow it to cool for awhile. Go in with a knife around the cake for easy removal

BUTTER CAKE 😋

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup milk
4 eggs, separated
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon whiskey
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.

2️⃣ In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until well combined.

3️⃣ Add the egg yolks, whiskey, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until thoroughly blended.

4️⃣ Gradually incorporate the sifted all-purpose flour along with the baking powder and salt, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth.

5️⃣ In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold them into the batter.

6️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

7️⃣ Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8️⃣ Unmold the cake while still warm.

• Opening the oven door too early
• Closing the oven door too sharply
• Preheating
• Incorrect oven temperature
• Wrong measurement of ingredients
• Too much baking powder or baking soda
• Expired or non active baking powder
• Incorrect moisture levels
• Overbeating the batter in the last stage
• Batter sitting too long before baking
• Under baking the cake
• Incorrect pan size

SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS ABOVE
• Avoid opening the oven door until the cake is 85% done
• Be gentle when you close the oven door.
• Check your oven with a heat-proof oven thermometer.
• Bake with the correct oven temperature.
• Measure your ingredients carefully with a scale.
• Do not use excess baking powder uor baking soda, so that it will not rise at a point and sink
• Make sure your baking powder is still active and has not expired
• Make to use accurate wet ingredients for a particular recipe.

Carrot Cake recipe🍽 🍰

Ingredients:
1 cup grated carrots 🥕
1 cup sugar 🍭
1 teaspoon baking powder🔧
1 egg 🍳
butter 🍯 🧈( to grease pan)
1/2 cup vegetable oil 🥜
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🍦
1 cup all-purpose flour 🥥
1 teaspoon baking soda 🔧
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 🎄
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 🥜
1/4 teaspoon salt 💧
1 cup milk 🥛

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, combine grated carrots, sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth 🍽.
3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until just combined.
4. Stir in the flour until just combined. Then, stir in the milk until just incorporated. 🥛
5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan 🍰.
6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean 🥮
7. Let cool before frosting.

HOW TO CRUMB COAT A CAKE.

Go easy on the flour when preparing your pan—extra flour can cause crumbs.

Make sure the cake is completely cooled; a hot cake will melt the crumb coat.

If making a layered cake, level and tort the cake before you begin.

You can use any kind of buttercream icing to crumb coat your cake, just make sure it is thin enough to not pull at the cake surface.

Avoid glazes or royal icing for crumb coating – they may be yummy but they’re too sticky for a crumb coat.

If decorating a cake with a star fill-in, use the same color icing to crumb coat your cake.

If using fondant, do one more layer of icing over your crumb coat before draping your fondant – this helps the fondant stick to the cake.

How to Make Scones.

Ingredients
2 cups of All Purpose Flour
75g of butter or margarine (cold)
½ cup of Sugar
1 tablespoon of Baking powder
¼ teaspoon of Salt.
⅔ cup of Liquid milk (cold)
1 Large Egg (cold)

Procedure
- Refrigerate your egg,liquid milk and margarine for atleast 1 hour before baking
- Mix all the flour, baking powder, salt with butter by rubbing it in till it gives you a crumby texture
- Dissolve the sugar into the whole milk, then finally add the egg..
- Then combine both the wet and dry ingredients
- Knead well, roll slightly thick and cut out the desired shape
- then place on prepared pan and bake till firm and its golden brown in colour

🥞 Easy Homemade Pancake Recipe 🥞

Ingredients:
• 2 cups of flour
• 1 egg
• 6 tablespoons sugar
• 3 tablespoons melted butter
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 1/2 cups of whole milk (or water)
• Flavor (Optional)

Directions:

1. Into a bowl, add egg, sugar, and milk. Whisk until combined.

2. Add melted butter and mix thoroughly.

3. In another bowl, combine baking powder with the flour. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients and mix gently until well combined—do not over mix.

4. Prepare a nonstick frying pan by coating it lightly with butter and heating it over medium-low heat.

5. Pour 1/3 cupfuls of batter onto the pan and cook until bubbles form on the top and the bottom is golden brown. Flip the pancake and continue cooking until the other side is golden brown as well.

6. Once your pancake is ready, for breakfast, serve it with Custard, Akamu (Ogi), or Oatmeal for a hearty and satisfying meal.

TIPS TO GET A PERFECT SOFT DOUGHNUT WITH WHITE LINE.

1. Get an active yeast.

2. Knead your dough very well.

3. Make sure you cover your dough and allow it to proof very well.

4. Fry on a medium heat.

5. Allow one side of your doughnut to get brown abit before flipping over.

DOUGHNUT RECIPE

Ingredients
500g Flour
50g Sugar
50g Butter
1 Egg
½ Tablespoon Yeast
1 Cup Lukewarm Water
A pinch Salt
1 Satchet Milk (Optional)

Procedure

Mix everything together at once, knead very well, cut to your desired shape and allow to rest for about 30 to 40 minutes when it hands proofed well.

Then fry in a hot oil at a medium heat, to get the white lines allow one side to be well fried before turning to the other side.

NB: Pieces of Doughnut to get, depends on the size you’re working with but it should give up to 16-18pcs

BUTTER CAKE 😋
Ingredients :
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup milk
5 eggs
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon whiskey
½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Cream together the butter and sugar until well combined. Then add the egg yolks, whiskey, and vanilla, mixing until thoroughly blended.
Gradually incorporate sifted all-purpose flour along with baking powder and salt, alternating with the milk.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, and gently fold them into the batter.
Grease and flour a cake pan, pour in the batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 1 hour.
Unmold the cake while still warm.
