At the TAJ Children's Day Celebration, yesterday 27th May, 2021.

Asoju Odo Omoluabi, Yasir Abiola SULAIMON (The Chairman YCYW, Ekiti State Council) and Omoluabi Adeigba Adefunke (The Director of Welfare) presented Mrs. Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande (TAJ); The Omoluabi Royal Icon Award. In due recognition of her Omoluabi Character, Integrity, Worth, Hardwork, Monumental contributions to the development of Yoruba cultural heritage and values.

The Concepts of Yoruba Nation

On the current state of the Nation. The perspective of Yoruba Nation must be understood by the sons and daughters of Yorubaland.

Yoruba nation can be related to all space where Yoruba people are based in all over the world beyond the Southwestern zone of Nigeria.

We have Yorubas' in Kogi, Kwara, Edo, Onitsha and every other space. Even the Yorubas' in the North, South and globally; as far as the Diaspora is concern.

If the concepts of Yoruba nation is well understood, the Yoruba shouldn't be in the position of causing the downfall of her Nation. As observed by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi; the people of the southwest were instrumental to the terrifying situations of the late premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the late business Mogul, Chief MKO Abiola in 1963 - the First Republic and 1993 - the Third Republic respectively.

There in the two years is a difference of 30 years. Whereas, 2023 makes another 30 years difference from the Third Republic. It has been observed strongly that there is an internal obstruction in the land forfeiting the emergence of any Yoruba candidate to emerge the President of the Nation, Nigeria.

The mindsets of the Yorubas' that led to opposing Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1963 and MKO Abiola in 1993 to become the President should be reformed.

Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW); affiliated to the "Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye" is unrepentantly committed to the development of Yoruba nation. So, we call upon the Yoruba people to take charge of their affairs and ensure the development of the Yoruba nation.

With our representation as being confided under one indissoluble and indestructible umbrella of Omoluabi contents (Omoluabi means God's own child; defined with characterized bravery, intelligence, rigid, hard work). Incorporating these contents will definitely better the nation. Therefore, irrespective of our various political affiliations and sentiments, "Isokan Yoruba" should be our watchword and this will definitely contribute to the development of Nigeria as a whole.

On this note, the need be to invite every son and daughter of Oduduwa to the 3rd World Omoluabi Day Festivals; slated for Saturday, 1st May, 2021. With the Theme: "Isokan Yoruba", at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Enuwa, Ile-Ife, Osun State by 12noon.
