I can’t remember why I had loose time, all I know was that I got stuck on (her cousin’s update of) her picture. At first, I scrolled past, hesitating. Eventually, I did screenshots of her pictures, intending to bring it up with her cousin ‘later in life’. Well, minutes after, I was in a conversation with her cousin about her.

Fast forward to the first time we met. I offered to attend a service in her church so we could go out to lunch afterwards. We did, once and again. There was a gentle, growing peace about being around her. We grew as friends, knowing and understanding each other a little better and deeper with each conversation, date, or moment together. We talked everyday, about everything and nothing. Everything sat well, and we continued as friends until we both knew we wanted to do life together”.
