*The Honourable Senior Special Assistant To The Governor of Anambra State on Petroleum and Union Matters, Hon Comr. Peter Nwosu has called on Ndi Anambra to expose and report any illegal depot or Storage of Petroleum products in Anambra State.*

Hon. Comr.. Peter Nwosu made this call when he visited the site of an illegal Petroleum Storage depot that exploded behind Holy Trinit Church which destroyed buildings and Vehicles.

Hon. Peter Nwosu lamented that some landlords connives with illegal Petroleum Storage dealers to use thier premises for the storage of Petroleum products when they know the illegality of thier action and the inflammable nature of those product which further endangers the lives and properties of Ndi Anambra.

He therefore appeals to Ndi Anambra to call +234809449 9444 or 08066382000 to report any location where illegal and adulterated Petroleum products are stored and sold in Anambra state.

The Honourable Senior Special Assistant To The Governor of Anambra State on Petroleum and Union Matters, Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu joined The First Lady Hajia Aisha Buhari, The Wife of the President of Nigeria, Dr. Chris Ifediora, Founder OCI Foundation, Prof. Charles Esimone, Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka to call for a more robust and proactive action by Eminent citizens and Organisation in the fight against cancer.

Hon. Peter Nwosu, The incoming Member that will represent Nnewi North Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly come 2023 eulogised Dr. Chris Ifediora the convener of Arm Our Youths Anti-Cancer Campaign through his Foundation for putting his efforts and resources by creating a massive awareness for the prevention and early detection of breast and cervical cancer.

*Hon. Peter Nwosu who had built a health centre in Uruagu Nnewi and had organised Medical outreach to countless residents in Nnewi stated expressed his readiness to partner with relevant Organisations to create more awareness about the need for early examination among women in Nnewi Anambra State.*

In the same vein, The First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari who was represented at the event by Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, called for stakeholders’ increased awareness on cancer.

She said that “It is important to ensure that we do everything possible to reduce the rate of mortality associated with cancer, especially cervical cancer,”


She expressed readiness to partner with more organisations such as the Nigerian Cancer Society and OCI foundation to overcome the negative health outcomes associated with cancer.



Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Rev. Epunam of Sweet Home Humanitarian Foundation as well as Prof. Charles Esimone, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, Technical Assistant on Media and Communication Office of the Special Assistant to the president on Political Affairs, Dr. Nwamaka Iguh, Head of Department, Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka were among several dignitaries who graced the occasion.

PROFILE OF COMRADE PETER NWOSU
Comrade Peter Nwosu is the Chairman of Peter Nupen Group of companies and a United Nations Peace Ambassador and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Ptd Nupeng, Petroleum & Union Matters.
The youth governor as he is fondly called was born on the 30th day of October 1975 in Uruagu Nnewi. He attended St. John’s cross Primary school, Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, the famous Barewa College Zaria, Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, Federal Polytechnic Oko and currently enrolled for a political science degree in National Open University of Nigeria.
The aura which Comrade Peter Nwosu has stamped on many young people as a humanitarian centre of attraction is indelible. He is roundly perceived as a symbol of progressive humanism on his account of his amazing interest and passion for investing in humanitarian purposes- a solider of humanity after all. Time tested values such as commitment, dedication to set goals, focus, integrity, passion, patriotism and welfarism all these works for peter,
The accomplishment of The Rock of Nupeng as he is popularly called in improving the living condition of people, particularly the less privilege in areas such as scholarship to students from primary to tertiary levels, donation of vehicles to The Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force Nnewi, the Anambra State Vigilante services, Nnamdi Azikiwe University bakery, Awka. Holy Family Youth Village Amansea, Construction and donation of ultra modern multipurpose hall to Ndi Ezenwankwo Community Uruagu Nnewi. Training and empowerment of many youths in various skills as well as his massive agricultural revolution in the area.
As a way of encouraging the Anambra state government’s vision of transforming of its health sector, Comrade peter built and donated a health Centre for his community.
To help keep the youths off street, create jobs as well as harness talent in Nnewi area. He sponsored sports tournament, particularly football with cash and vehicle donation to winners and losers alike.
He is A recipient of numerous awards from many organizations which include the United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador Award by the International Association of World Peace Advocates Nigeria. The Peoples Advocate Award for youth empowerment by the senate of Law Students Association, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in conjunction with Students Advocacy and Justice Network.
He is the former National Product Inspection officer of Nupeng and now the grand patron of National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (Nupeng) Nigeria. In 2017 he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Okwute Nupeng (The Rock of Nupeng).
