Each year, millions of girls and women around the world are at risk of undergoing FGM, a harmful practice that intentionally alters or causes injury to the female ge***al organs for non-medical reasons. While the customs and traditions that perpetuate FGM vary from community to community, the procedure is generally carried out sometime between infancy and age 15, and it has serious socio-economic, physical, emotional, s*xual and health consequences, including death.

The End FGM European Network (End FGM EU) is a European umbrella network of 39 organisations working to ensure sustainable European action to end Female Ge***al Mutilation.

The Network strives to build bridges and cooperation’s with all relevant actors in the field of FGM both in Europe and globally. Platforming community voices to influence European governments and policy makers to work towards the elimination of FGM.

For it is not just important to tell our stories, but it is equally important that others listen to our stories. The existence of such a place where one can listen to other people's stories, and many others like it, makes me fill up with joy and hope.
