HAPPY WORLD POETRY DAY!!!

The day aims to support linguistic diversity through poetry and enhance the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard. March 21 was adopted as World Poetry Day by UNESCO (United National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) in 1999 during the 30th General Conference in Paris.

As poets who have worked in the field for a considerable amount of time, we are amazed by the way Nigeria's poetry business is expanding.

We honor all poets who haven't given up on their craft, poets who forgo food in order to produce a spoken word poetry video, poets who host poetry concerts, poets who suffer through the night to write, people who love poetry, concert host who doesn't fail to include a poet in the line up of artists, poets who use their poetry as a platform for advocacy. We recognize you! You are loved by us!

This is a gentle reminder that on June 1st by 6pm on our YouTube channel, we will be releasing a spoken word poetry feature film called "Beside the still waters"! By following the link in the comment section to our YouTube channel, you can help support the art by hitting the 'subscribe' icon.
