NWANAYOEZE CONDOLE WITH GOVERNOR SOLUDO OVER HIS FATHER'S DEATH

Hon. Ebube Nwankwo-Ikwueto (Nwanayoeze Ozo Chimereze) joined thousands of well-wishers, in a condolence visit to His Excellency, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State over the death of his Father Pa Simeon Soludo at Isuofia , Aguata LGA.

May God give the Soludo's the heart to bear this great lost.

PRESS STATEMENT

The All Progressives Grand Alliance have observed with dismay the dismal utterances of Dr Tony Nwoye of the Labour Party and the Senator representing Anambra North District, against the National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR. It has become a trend and an easy alibi for the Labour Party to dance around in public spaces neglecting the chore responsibilities of governance for which they purported to provide for Nigerians. Seven months after many of them were sworn into various legislative offices, they are still dwelling on the February 25th, 2023 defeat and have constituted themselves as major obstacles to the progress of State.

I think it is time we reminded the Labour Party and her members that elections are over and it is time for governance.

The unprovoked utterances of Senator Nwoye at a Church event in Onitsha on the 17th of December, 2023 is totally condemnable and unacceptable to ndi Anambra who have taken to various media platforms to condemn it. The Senator representing Anambra North must take heed that the dynamics of the Anambra political space is unique and not encumbered with mundane considerations. The Anambra electorate is sophisticated and capable of making independent decisions largely on the basis of performance, and not by cult following for any individual.

As at today, ndi Anambra have established APGA as a party with performative records that has delivered good governance and quality leadership to the people from 2006 till date. Tony Nwoye himself can attest to this, as he has severally been taught hard lessons by the Anambra electorates who have constantly rejected him in previous Governorship elections on the basis of his inglorious political records and negative place in Anambra's political history. Until the emotive wind of the last general elections that rail-roaded all sorts of characters in to our political space, allowing Dr Nwoye undeserving access to political leadership, Tony Nwoye knows that we know that he is one of such persons ndi Anambra hold in contempt for his many preposterous roles in trying to truncate the good governance they now enjoy in the State. This history cannot be re-written in a hurry. Not now, not in the future.

Tony Nwoye's open declaration that Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, the Governor of Anambra State, will not run for a second term in office is not only laughable but a reflection of what has preoccupied his lethargic representation at the Senate. In his desperation to court relevance and blow his rustic trumpet, he is deceptively warming up to Mr Peter Obi (an APGA product) a man who knows him and his opprobrious records. I am sure he knows Peter Obi cannot and will not trust him enough in spite of his new role as the vuvuzela of the Labour Party that is not anywhere a match to the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra State. This is a fact!

Governor Soludo, who has remained calm in all this, is not one to be distracted by desperate politicians. Ndi Anambra from all walks of life and across the State and beyond are already testifying to the disruptive, positive change witnessed in just 20 months of the Soludo Administration. From the economy to infrastructure, security, economy, urban regeneration and inclusive governance, there is a new normal christened "Solution" in Anambra State. This is all less than 2years. By the time this government clocks 3years in office, the progress made would have surpassed the expectations of even the opposition in the State.

Thus, it is important to remind Tony and his crew that it is still morning and too early in the day to entertain any form of distractions. He should borrow some leaf from the APGA example by staying focused on delivering his campaign promise to the Anambra North people, as they did not elect him to become the Labour Party spokesman nor a villain to Soludo. The All Progressives Grand Alliance condemns in its entirety the unguided utterances of Dr Tony Nwoye and the Labour Party. The government of the day is working day and night to perfect its campaign promises to the people and cannot condone any action that will heat up the polity or derail this commendable progress.

JUST IN:

JUDGMENT OF HON. JUSTICE M. A MADUGU OF THE FCT HIGH COURT DECAPITATED AS THE COURT FINALLY SUCCUMBED TO THE SUPERIORITY OF THE COURT OF APPEAL, HANDS OFF FROM THE CONTEMPT PROCEEDINGS AGAINST CHIEF VICTOR IKE OYE AND INEC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN.

You will recall that Edozie Njoku and his co travellers had boasted severally that Chief Victor Oye and the INEC chairman will be jailed for contempt of court even when it was so clear that they never disobeyed the orders of the court in conducting the congresses and National convention of APGA.

It took the prompt intervention of the court of Appeal on 28th of November,2023 to call Hon Justice Madugu to order by compelling him to stay all pending contempt proceedings against Chief Victor Oye and the INEC National Chairman pending the determination of the appeal before the court of Appeal.

Justice Madugu today 14/12/2023 in his ruling finally succumbed to the orders of the court of Appeal and stayed the contempt proceedings and adjourned the matter Sine die.

Justice Madugu held that in view of the orders of the court of Appeal and the pending appeal against his judgment, he said "on all front and at this juncture I must drop my pen 🖊️ to await the outcome of the court of Appeal least I commit judicial Su***de".

Justice Madugu further stated that as a judicial officer he is duty bound to obey the orders of a superior court.

It was observed that Njoku and his co travellers left the court in shame.

Counsel to Chief Victor Ike Oye and the National Legal Adviser of APGA Bar. Victor Agunzi thanked Justice Madugu. In his words" the ruling today signifies victory for the respect of the rule of law" and urged Justice Madugu to always do Justice to parties before him.

APGA members in court were elated that at last the mischief and shenanigans of Edozie Njoku had collapsed like a pack of card in favour of the rule of law.

With the ruling delivered today, the Judgment of Justice Madugu has been decapitated and Edozie Njoku and his co travellers are left in limbo.

Congratulations to Chief Victor Ike Oye and INEC National Chairman,you have both been vindicated by law and truth.

GOVERNOR SOLUDO LEADS VP SENATOR SHETTIMA TO COMMISSION METER FACTORY, OTHERS IN ANAMBRA STATE

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, earlier today received Nigeria's Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima who was in the state to commission an Electric Energy Meter Manufacturing Factory, by Advanced Energy Management Solution Ltd, AEMSL in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Council Area of Anambra State

The commissioning of the Energy meter production facility is expected to stimulate technological innovation and boost production of meters and ultimately reduce reliance on importation

The Vice President's presence in the State to commission this facility also signals to investors that Anambra is open for business and that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment, that will create new jobs and stimulate economic growth.

The VP's visit is also expected to strengthen the very strong relationship between Anambra State and the federal government as well as foster better cooperation on issues of mutual interest, such as security, environment, education, and healthcare; a relationship that could also help Anambra State secure more federal funding for its programmes and initiatives.

During the visit, the Vice President also commissioned Ijele Fm radio station and flagged-off the third phase of Sir Emeka Offor foundation Housing Scheme, as well as witnessed the distribution of palliatives to widows' cooperative society.

Vice President Shettima also used the occasion to applaud Governor Soludo for his numerous onging infrastructural development projects and his concerted efforts to attract industrialization to the State

In his vote of thanks, the Chairman of Chrome Group and Sir Emeka Offor foundation (SEOF), Sir (Dr) Emeka Offor, expressed his deep gratitude to the Vice President Shettima and Governor Soludo. He assured his guests that he would continue to contribute his best to nation-building
