Ebira Born Otaru Oyiza Receives Award As Best Graduating Student In Faculty Of Pharmacy, KASU

Otaru Latifat Oyiza who hails from Kuroko in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State has been awarded as the best graduating student in the faculty of Pharmacy, Kaduna State University.

Oyiza graduated with an overall CGPA of 4.68 to receive the award as the best student in the Faculty.

While speaking with our correspondent, Oyiza noted that she would love to be a lecturer as she's passionate about learning and wants to contribute to knowledge.

In her words, she said, "I'm aspiring to be a lecturer because I have passion for learning and acquiring knowledge. I see lecturers as people who provide guidance and support in the academic journey.
I want to contribute to knowledge in the field of pharmacy and make positive impact through research and mentoring".

Train a girl child and she will bring honour to your name.

Congratulations Oyiza, the journey was tough, but it was one borne out of great determination, perseverance and hardwork.

We're appealing to well meaning Nigerians to help this brilliant young lady to achieve her dream.

Ibrahim Adamu from Federal University Dutsin-Ma and Kenneth Egwu from University of Nigeria, Nsukka Wins the 2023 PAR Foundation Grant

A 300 Level Microbiology student from Federal University Dutsin-Ma team up with Kenneth Egwu from University of Nigeria, Nsukka to win the prestigious annual grant awarded by the Foundation to Prevent Antibiotic Resistance (PAR Foundation). In this year, 104 applicants from 34 countries apply for this grant under the ‘Education Grants’ category but only six projects are selected for the grant in which Ibrahim and Kenneth’s project is among.

The grant is awarded to Ibrahim and his colleague to execute a project tagged “Intervarsity Training and Establishment of AMR Clubs for Youth Champions”. According to the awardees, this project aims to train and build the capacity of Nigerian tertiary Institution students to become Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) fighters and support them to establish AMR Clubs in their various institutions as well as carry out some community engagement activities. While expressing their sincere appreciation to their mentors, they noted that soon there will be a call for application to participate in this program which will contain full details about the program.

Abubakar Ibrahim Brah hails from Bade LGA in Gashua.

He graduated with a CGPA of 4.67 and received many awards including automatic membership into the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
