Health seeking behavior is ones attitude to seeking proper health care when one notices an abnormality.
Nigerians in general has a poor health seeking behavior
A white man was asked how he would describe Nigerians attitude to their health and he said, "Nigerians are hard working people. They go ahead to work so hard, at the expense of their health and then they fall ill, they spend all they have ever worked for to regain their health and most times die because of avoidable ill health causes".

This is so true.
I met the guy in the picture below who had just a little lump on the chest but ignored it because he was busy, now the tumor has spread very far into his chest and he may not live to celebrate his 27th birthday

Similar lump is on his brother but very small now. I ask him what he was waiting for and he said he doesn't have time now...

Maybe he will have time in the grave...

Good health seeking behavior means ones you notice any anomaly in your body or feeling, you immediately see your family doctor.

You family doctor will access to know if it's serious and will re-direct you to the right doctor to help you.
