Seeing that Nigerian's prefer to buy from brands who have large follower base, it is usually tempting to want to buy followers too just to make your page visitors trust you but you see, buying followers on Instagram will do your business more harm than good.

Apart from the fact that you put your account at risk of getting disabled, those newly bought followers may not be your target audience. Later in the future when you'd need to run adverts targeting people who look like your followers, your ad would be shown to the same type of people who don't need what you sell. If you've been on social media for a while now and you even have lots of followers already, I mean a considerable amount and nobody has bought from you, like nobody has bordered to ask how much, (you know how that feels) There's a high chance your followers are not your ideal customers. I mean, you are putting your products in front of the wrong people.

It's possible your followers are your family members and friends. Some put what their selling with the mindset that their friends and family will buy from them. It doesn't work that way. If they don't need or want it, they won't buy. And even if they will, you don't expect them to be consistent.

You need to know who your ideal customer is or who your target audience are so that you'll be able to reach them, advertise your products and services in the language they understand.
Until you get this right, you'll continue to run in a circle of little to no sales.

ANOTHER BIG REASON IS:
You could have a few customers following you already but they do not trust you enough to want to give you their money.
With the rate at which scam episodes are flying all over the internet, people are always on their guard against getting scammed.
So now, you look at your page, and the things you've posted, does it look trust worthy enough? I see some of you flying pictures of foreigners on your page because you want to advertise that shirt, that shoe, that trouser. Oh yeah, those pictures are beautiful and I'll admire them o, why won't I but my brain on the other hand is already ringing, scam zone, scam zone, if you want people to trust you, be REAL. Bring yourself out let people see you that you're a real person alright. Make video of you wearing what you sell, if you cannot wear it, take pictures or videos of you holding or carrying it.
This is 2023, you must make plenty money from that business by fire by force.

Ways to avoid getting shadow banned on Instagram 👇👇👇

✓ Do not behave like a bot:
When you go about following many accounts with speed, liking and commenting on posts like one Ibaji robot, Instagram may think you are actually a robot.
So try not to post, share and engage at a high speed, whether you are using an automated system or you are doing it manually. I mean, try not to move fast.

✓ Do not make use of banned hashtags:
If instagram bans a hashtag it means they've deamed that hashtag inappropriate and decided to hide it. So once on a while, try to check the hashtags you've used in your posts previously and even the once you intend to use, always check them first to ensure they've not been banned already.
(I'll make a post soon on how to know if a hashtag has been banned).

✓ Avoid the urge to buy followers. Read that again📌
Stay away from third party apps that promise to boost your followers automatically and auto likes. Do not try to cheat the platform.

✓ Get acquainted with Instagram community guidelines and terms of service.

WHAT IS AN INSTAGRAM SHADOW BAN?

Instagram shadow ban has to do with the act of restricting or hiding a user's contents/posts (pictures or videos) without informing the user about it.

This happens especially, when a user has violated Instagram's community guideline, or when what you post is considered inappropriate.

If you are shadow banned, your posts won't show on hashtag pages, post feeds, stories and explore page unless they already follow you and you won't even know. This can adversely affect your reach on Instagram.

From Instagram's point of view, they actually mean well as they are making effort to protect and keep the community safe.

So when you go about, liking many posts at once, following people quickly like a robot, using words and making posts that are considered inappropriate on Instagram, using hashtags that are already banned by Instagram, buying followers, you could get yourself in the shadow ban corner. Take caution 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
