THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE - 45

ESCHATOLOGY OF THE BRIDEGROOM - 38:

PREMILLENIAL JUDGMENTS - THE MYSTERY OF BABYLON: THE JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT W***E - 3

Some of our key submissions in the last Episode were:

"The Church [MOUNTAIN] of the Lord being raised above all THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF BABYLON is indicative of her being made triumphant over all other mountains, just as the Lord made Israel - the Church in the wilderness to triumph over all the seven nations of the Amorites and their kings.

The beauty of the Battle at Armageddon is that it is the Lord Himself alone that shall fight the enemies with the Sword of His Mouth and as it is written; their fate is sealed. See also Revelation 19:19-20; 20:2,9,10.

The Church is not meant to approach the current and future oppressive measures of Babylon with fear and or as victims, but to rise to the challenge as the God given solution to the problems."

"MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" - 3: Revelation 18:1-24:

"After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "BABYLON THE GREAT IS FALLEN, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!

For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, LEST YOU SHARE IN HER SINS, AND *LEST YOU RECEIVE OF HER PLAGUES.

For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.

In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, "I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.'

Therefore her plagues will come in one day--death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

"The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,

standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, "Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'

"And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:

merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;

and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.

The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.

The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

and saying, "Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!

For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance

and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, "What is like this great city?'

"They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, "Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.'

"Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!"

Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.

The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore.

The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.

And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth."

The summary of the above scripture is that God has determined to bring a permanent end to BABYLON - THE CORRUPT SYSTEM OF THIS WORLD.

Consequently, He expects His own people to stand out unspotted from her, knowing fully well that although they are in this world, they are not of the world - of its corrupt system.

This is particularly intended to checkmate Christians' engagements with Babylon in every area or ramification of dealings or contacts.

In order to walk this thin line of living and dealing in Babylon, but yet being distinctively different, the consciousness must be twofold:

1. That we have only God to please and heaven only to make.

Jesus said: "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." John 15:19.

In other words, anyone seeking to be recognized and applauded - to please or appease this world's people and its system is simply revealing the fact that "he hasn't yet come out of Babylon" - separated himself from the corrupt system of this world.

2. That there are two economic and reward systems; that of God and of the world and that the two are totally distinct and operate on two opposite principles.

In other words, a believer cannot scheme, manipulate, distort facts and figures to gain undue advantage as is the world's system and principle and still hope to be rewarded by God.

An unbeliever may commit all manner of sins, he may not give to God, man or to charitable courses but yet prospers, because he is fully into the world's system, which rewards unrighteousness, but a believer who wants to be rewarded by God must give and invest only in projects He has approved for him in order to prosper.

The danger of any Christian not separating himself very distinctively from this world's system - "coming out of Babylon as the Bible has warned is that he will" SHARE IN HER SINS, AND RECEIVE OF HER PLAGUES."

It is written, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36.

Surely, most believers in Christ today will not live to see the Second Coming of the Lord, but everyone will undoubtedly be called out of this world some day; "of that day and hour no one knows."

The only guarantee of the reward of eternity with God depends on consciously separating ourselves from Babylon although we live in her midst.

Cheers! 💕

The Testimony Of God - 66

Welcome to Bibliclassroom!

Our last LESSON was on The Testimony Of God-65 and the Watchword was: "God will not spare you because you have received and delivered His word and vision accurately to the people or because you were lied to [deceived] by someone you respected and trusted or because you had passed your first temptation."

The highlight was on The Man Of God From Judah, who also joined The League Of Lone Stars On Feature, this week, Josiah is up.

Josiah
2Kings 22:1-20; 23:1-30 [2Chronicles 34:1-33; 35:1-27]

"JOSIAH was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left." 2Kings 22:1-2.

We shall title the review of Josiah as: THE CALL TO PERFECTION.

The history of Josiah began with the prophecy of The Man Of God From Judah featured last week who "cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, JOSIAH by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee." 1Kings 13:2.

Josiah as the scripture recorded carried out all the details of the prophecy to the letter. He even honoured the memory of The Man Of God From Judah by not moving or burning his bones.

And in extension the memory of the old prophet from Samaria who beguiled the new prophet and planted his bones beside his, knowing fully well that a Josiah was going to come and would do exactly what his prophecy said. 2Kings 23:16-18.

Josiah by all standards had an enviable Testimony of God.

His testimonials speak:
"Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;

But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem.

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him." 2Kings 23:21-23, 25.

Meaning his celebration of the Passover surpassed that of all the Judges and the kings of Israel and of Judah, including that of David, Solomon, Jehoshaphat and Hezekiah. Especially, of the last three of which the scripture also gave them a very lofty accolades concerning their celebrations of the Passover.

Everything as the scripture concluded concerning Josiah was perfect: "He did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left."

Until he decided to meddle in a warfare he had no business in. Worse, refused to listen to the counsel of the Lord, although from the mouth of a "heathen." See 2Chronicles 35:20-24.

Sadly, just as our Watchword warned; God did not spare Josiah because he received and acted out every of His word and vision so excellently or because he misjudged PharaohNecho.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he did so because he thought God couldn't possibly be using a supposed infidel to speak to him nor to fight His battles.

Maybe because he was jealous and felt having done everything else right, he is the right person God could have used.

Maybe because he felt God having helped him to perform so excellently He was disposed to helping him, regardless of any adventure he undertook.

He forgot the proverb of Solomon: "The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." Proverbs 16:4.

But unfortunately, it happened just as PharaohNecho said, "God destroyed him" - allowed the arrows of the archers to hit him and he died in the process, in spite of all his good works and unsurpassable records.

What's even more baffling? He wasn't even buried in the sepulcher of the kings of Judah.

What does God desire we learn from Josiah's story? That He will not settle for 80% when we have the capacity to score 100% - become perfect.

There is a subtle [deceptive] teaching and belief in the New Testament Church that Christ has given everyone who believes in Him a "let my people go" pass, irrespective of anyone's poor performance in the faith.

That one does not really need 'to strive for perfection' to be worthy in the end, but only to do his very possible best because the sacrifice of Jesus has and would adequately make up for our deficits at all times and circumstances.

Now, if being average - the possible best Christian we could by any standard we set for ourselves is all that God saved us to achieve, then He will not write down for us scriptures like:

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

nor

"TILL WE ALL COME in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, UNTO A PERFECT MAN, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." Matthew 5:48, Ephesians 4:13.

Josiah did everything right, but in the end he failed because he "HEARKENED NOT UNTO THE WORDS OF NECHO FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD"

Jesus said,
"For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:20.

The standard of righteousness of a Pharisee as Paul described is ranked as "blameless" - perfect, but in order for him to surpass that standard, he said: "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:6,14

As he admonished us by the Holy Spirit: we could only attain the "mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" by STRIVING TOWARDS PERFECTION, which is possible only through TOTAL OBEDIENCE to the instructions of God; resolving to do only the things that pleases God as Jesus exemplified. John 8:29; 14:30-31, Hebrews 5:8-9.

The Testimony Of God - 66

He has the highest score in Passover Celebration - above all, in all its history from inception of Passover.

He was the most ruthless of all the kings in cleansing the land of idolatry.

He was the most zealous for God in all history of the kings of Israel and Judah.

Regrettably, he died meddling in matters God did not assign him.

Who was this man?

The devil does not have the capability to HINDER the purpose of God for any man - he has no such inherent power.

However, he has God's given authority to HINDER - STOP a man from INTERRUPTING with the process of the purpose of God for his life.

It is only the man himself that could HINDER - LIMIT OR THWART the purpose of God for his life by REFUSING it outrightly or indirectly by dishonouring the tems of the purpose of God for him.

Eg. Children of Israel, Moses, Eli etc.

THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE - 44

ESCHATOLOGY OF THE BRIDEGROOM - 37:

PREMILLENIAL JUDGMENTS - THE MYSTERY OF BABYLON: THE JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT W***E - 2.

Some of our key submissions in the last Episode were:

"Scripturally "w***e" refers to an idolater; someone who departs or forsakes the living God - to have an unholy alliance or allegiance [unapproved relations] with anyone, thing or spirit.

Therefore, whenever the Bible uses the word "fornication;" it is not merely referring to sexual relations between unmarried persons or between an unmarried person with the married, but infidelity. Unfaithfulness to the commandments and expectations of God or man, especially in a marital relationship.

All defilements, every form of filthiness, wickednes and abomination is traceable to Babylon."

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" - 2: Revelation 17:9-18:

"And here is the mind which hath wisdom. THE SEVEN HEADS ARE SEVEN MOUNTAINS, ON WHICH THE WOMAN [BABYLON] SITTETH."

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." Verses 9,10:

I want to state very emphatically that this SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF BABYLON AND THEIR KINGS which presently confront the New Testament Church is a direct correspondence to THE SEVEN GREAT AND MIGHTY [MOUNTAINOUS] NATIONS AND THEIR KINGS the Church in the wilderness faced and defeated. See Deuteronomy 7:1-5. Joshua 9:1; 10:5,6.

However, it is of paramount importance we understand very clearly that THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD'S HOUSE - the global Church of the Living God and all that she is comprised of, eg: prayer, marriage of the saints etc is distinctively different from THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF BABYLON and is the only mountain the Lord God has and will exalt above all the other SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF BABYLON. Isaiah 2:2, Micah 4:1.

The Church [MOUNTAIN] of the Lord being raised above all THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF BABYLON is indicative of her being made triumphant over all others, just as the Lord made Israel - the Church in the wilderness to triumph over all the seven nations of the Amorites and their kings.

"And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition." Verse 11.

The fate of THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS is equally the fate of the devil - perdition.

"And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast." Verse 12, 13.

The fact that all the kings - rulers of the earth would consent to "ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT" and handover their sovereign powers to the beast to rule over all in the days to come is a foregone conclusion

"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." Verse 14.

The above is in reference to what is written in Revelation 16:14, 16: "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

The beauty of the Battle at Armageddon is that it is the Lord Himself alone that shall fight the enemies with the Sword of His Mouth and as it written; their fate is sealed. See also Revelation 19:19-20; 20:2,9,10.

"And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the w***e sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." Verse 15.

Regrettably, too many people are under the direct influence of Babylon and of her leader the beast. This fact opens up the need for a renewed drive for world evangelism.

"And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the w***e, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire." Verse 16.

The influence of Babylon would end; the same people who patronized her now and would in the future are the same that would tear and burn her down to the ground.

"For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled." Verse 17.

Everything that has happened and would will be so that "the words [purposes] of God may be fulfilled."

In other words, the agenda of the devil is as far as God allows him.

"And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth." Verse 18.

As long as Babylon is given to be in control; the rulers of this earth can only do her bidding.

Change of status quo can only be effected by the Church, which is not under her influence. By implication, the Church is the only hope for a counterculture - relief to the ever oppressive measures of Babylon.

It is written, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Romans 8:19.

The Church is not meant to approach the current and future oppressive measures of Babylon with fear and or as victims, but to rise to the challenge as the God given solution to the problems.

Cheers! 💕

The Testimony Of God - 65

Welcome to Bibliclassroom!

Our last LESSON was on The Testimony Of God-64 and the Watchword was: "God does not force anyone to serve or obey Him or to walk uprightly before Him; He gives the free choice to everyone to decide whether he wants to or not."

The highlight was on Manasseh, who joined The League Of Lone Stars On Feature, this week, The Man Of God From Judah is up.

Man of God from Judah - 1Kings 13:1-32.

We shall title the review of the Man of God from Judah as: WHAT GOD HAS FORBIDDEN FOR YOU IS FORBIDDEN. And subtitle it as: Beware Of The Old Prophet and or Beware Of The Second Temptation.

Act 1 Scene 1:

"And, behold, there came a MAN OF GOD out of JUDAH by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.

And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.

And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.

And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:

For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.

So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.

Interpretation of Roles:

1. From available records, this was the first outing of this new prophet and unfortunately his last.

2. He had a sure word from God backed up with signs, inclusive of the withered hand of king Jeroboam.

3. He was apparently clear of the commandments [forbiddance] God gave him.

4. He passed his first temptation.

Act 2 Scene 2:

"And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. BUT HE LIED UNTO HIM.

So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

Interpretation of Roles:

1. The old prophet intentionally went after [warmed up to] the new prophet.

2. He exploited his crave for a sense of belonging - welfare, validation and acceptance.

3. The new prophet made a grave mistake reconsidering the forbiddance God gave him and eventually disobeying, although he was undoubtedly clear about it.

4. Regrettably, he failed his Second Temptation.

Act 3 Scene 3:

"And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:

And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,

But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers."

Interpretation of Roles:

1. Surely, it was a calculated attempt by the old prophet to sabotage the new and inexperienced prophet from Judah.

2. The old prophet, although full of trickery [deception] and out of tune with God was used as a medium in that crucial moment.

3. God did not spare the new prophet because he delivered His word accurately, but most importantly because he was lied to by the old prophet - someone he trusted or because he had passed his "first temptation" meritoriously.

Act 4 Scene 4:

"And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.

And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.

And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him.

And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass.

And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.

And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, ALAS, MY BROTHER!

And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:

For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass."

Interpretation of Roles:

1. The old prophet gave the new prophet his ass - his mobility and carriage knowing fully well he was going to be dead and out of the scene - limelight in a moment.

2. The old prophet was eagerly but surely waiting for the news of the dead of the new prophet knowing fully well he has sealed his fate.

3. Obviously, all that the old prophet wanted was to make the new prophet to disobey God so he could be sidelined by God as he was, he achieved it, but unfortunately the new prophet died in the process.

4. The old prophet gave the new prophet a remarkable burial; he even honoured him with his tomb, mockingly calling him his brother.

5. The old prophet knew without a doubt that the new prophet was genuine and that his word and vision was truly of the Lord.

Summary:
A. What God has forbidden for you remains forbidden, irrespective of how many people are succeeding in ministry doing it.

STOP TRYING TO PROVE YOURSELF TO ANYONE OR SEEKING RECOGNITION FROM PEOPLE.

B. Beware Of The Old Prophets - people who are no longer in tune with God.

IF YOU ARE TRULY CALLED OF GOD, THEY KNOW, WHETHER THEY GIVE YOU THEIR VALIDATION AND ACCEPTANCE OR NOT.

C. Old prophets are ready to use all manners of tricks to get you: DO NOT LET YOUR NEED FOR WELFARE, VALIDATION AND ACCEPTANCE PUSH YOU TO RECONSIDER THE FORBIDDANCE OF GOD FOR YOU.

D. Old prophets are not interested in you because they want to help you succeed in ministry, but to see to it that you disobey God and become irrelevant as they are.

E. Beware Of The Second Temptation, because it is going to come through someone that you trust and respect, but more so, because of your need for welfare, validation and acceptance by the person.

F. God will not spare you because you have received and delivered His word and vision accurately to the people or because you were lied to [deceived] by someone you respected and trusted or because you had passed your first temptation.

Cheers! 💕
