A trend on billboards is the popularity of brand response campaigns.

Campaigns that integrate call-to-action with storytelling are of course a useful tool in the savvy marketer’s toolkit but implementing one prior to building broad brand awareness is tantamount to putting the cart before the horse.

Lamp poles have a ubiquity that is unmatched amongst other outdoor advertising formats. The supply is almost unlimited.

Sadly, this accessibility has also lead to an abundance of poor executions.

Wherever you turn, you are likely to see a lamp pole campaign that appears like an attempt at (a medically incorrect) eye test!

There is always the temptation to put up a lot of ‘’important’’ information on a billboard, but this risk making the creative not only being cluttered but also unmemorable.

Can you recall the article on a "politician's achievements" that was reproduced in its entirety on a mega billboard on the 3rd mainland bridge??
