PDP Refers Ortom to Disciplinary Committee, Suspends Fayose, Anyim, Others

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has after very extensive review of the affairs of our Party in the country and pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017) referred the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee over his reported involvement in anti-party activities.

The NWC also approved the suspension of the following from the Party with effect from today, Thursday, March 23, 2023.

1. Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti State)
2. Sen. Pius Anyim (Ebonyi State)
3. Prof. Dennis Ityavyar (Benue State)
4. Dr. Aslam Aliyu (Zamfara State)

The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time.

PDP Dissolves Katsina State Executive Committee

After extensive deliberation on issues relating to the Katsina State Chapter of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Working Committee (NWC) on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) hereby approves the dissolution of the PDP Katsina State Executive Committee with immediate effect.

The decision of the NWC is pursuant to Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).

The PDP charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party in Katsina State to remain united and focused on the task ahead.

This is to inform the general public that I, SULAIMAN, Abdulwaheed Olamilekan was a registered and card-carrying member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara since the 15th of September, 2018.

However, Until April 2021, I ceased to be a member of the APC owing to the denial of my revalidation as a party member by the Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara APC during the charade called ‘Registration and Revalidation’ exercise in Kwara.

In addition, I was an ACTIVE member of the factional Kwara APC christened ‘APC Loyal’ during which my membership revalidation was still hanging.

Finally, I SULAIMAN, Abdulwaheed Olamilekan affirmed that I was never at no point in time, a card-carrying member of the opposition Social Democratic Party, SDP in Kwara, as being speculated in some quarters.

Meanwhile, The general public is hereby put on notice that I am truthful in my words and I shall continue to be truthful at all times.

Ahead of the official announcement of my new political voyage, I visited my polling unit (013) in Adeta L.G.E.A, Adewole ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State earlier in the week.

The visit provided me with the opportunity to cross-check my name on the just-released INEC Voters Register, and also identify fellow like-minded voters, and grassroots mobilizers who are readily anticipating a change through a RESCUE MISSION in the political trajectory of our dear state, Kwara - through the ballot come February 25 and March 14, 2023, respectively.

Considering the political atmosphere in Kwara, It would interest you all that I have begun local politicking and in the next few days, I shall declare openly by joining a new political party.

Kwara Rescue Mission 2023 is a done deal, Insha Allah.

Earlier today, I met with Barrister Ahmed Rufai Akanbi to officially submit my letter to step down as the CEO/Publisher of one of the leading Online Media Outlets and Public Relations Organizations, The Elites Watch Media Group at his mini-office along Awolowo Road, Tanke, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Barrister Ahmed Rufai Akanbi is a star-studded Legal luminary, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Elites Watch Media Group.

My decision to step down at this period, although a tough reality is purposely to actively take part in the political and electioneering process of my dear state, Kwara, at the fast-approaching 2023 general elections.

About a year and a few months ago, I established and incorporated an Online Media and Public Relations Organization named ‘The Elites Watch Media Group’ where I served as the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher concurrently.

The Media and Public Relations outlet has over the years garnered thousands of readers, and consulted for sizable numbers of Public figures across the length and breadth of Nigeria and abroad and the outlet is famously known for its timely reportage of public events and qualitative content to the mass audience.

As a practising Journalist, I understand that my decision to further advance my career in the Political Sphere of my dear Kwara State is a tough reality which is solely driven by the passion and quest for a new course in Societal Politics geared towards the principles of Accountability and Good Governance to the People at all times. I make bold to say that my decision is not in any way self-serving but a call to uphold one of the tenets of Sustainable Democracy.

However, I want to reassure you all that I remain committed to my Social Responsibility as a Journalist which mandated us to stand by the People and make their voice counts at all times.

I, therefore, apologise to my esteemed readers, family, friends, associates, and colleagues in the Media Profession who may be dissatisfied with this new development. Passersby calls for help as hit-and-run driver reportedly jams Man in Lagos

In an effort to save a life, passersby along TabonTabon in Agege have called for help from the authorities to save the life of a yet-to-be-identified old man reportedly rammed off by a motorist.

According to eyewitnesses, the yet-to-be-identified old man was rammed off the road by a hit-and-run motorist who took heel immediately after the accident.

The incident occurred at about 06:55 am on Tuesday along TabonTabon, Agege railway road, Lagos State.

The yet-to-be-identified old man can be seen laying on the road with a Tasbir (Muslim rose beads), soaked in a pool of blood, and helplessly groaning in pain without any help rendered by passersby and the police.

It was gathered that a police traffic warder was sighted at a Police post just a throw stone from the incident scene.

However, The Agege Railway Police Station is located along the roadside of the incident.
