I mentioned the other day that we use Hydrosols in 's skincare formulations and here is a magnifying post on one of our ingredients for AcnExit Black Soap.

Before I mention the particular one we use, let me educate you a bit on what "Hydrosols" are. They are produced by distilling plant materials (leaves, bark, flowers, fruits etc). They have a scent that is reminiscent of the plant material's essential oil but subtler - much less concentrated. If your skin is sensitive, you shouldn't be scrubbing it. One of the few ways to know that your skin is sensitive is that when you buy some products and apply, you start developing rashes, break outs and all. For example, I breakout whenever I use any cream. As in, by the following day like this, I am legit going to wake up with a rough face.

Know this, physical exfoliants(e.g scrubs) are too harsh for your skin and that's why you will keep saying nothing works for my skin. Here's one thing to do:

Use Products (cleansers, toners, oils, serums, moisturizers) made for your skin type, they exfoliate your skin gently enough without hassle. You may not even need to worry about your skin, except if you still ignore the skin protection rules.

2 GREAT REASONS FOR SKINCARE REGIMEN
Have you noticed that I am always urging you to have a regimen for your skin type? It is because:

1. Acne or any skin concern ONLY responds to regimen (with right ingredients) not products (any face cream or so)

And 2, When you do your cleanse, tone, moisturise, exfoliate and mask religiously, you have the chance to control the oil on your skin(using acne as the case study), you do not give room for dirt and dead cells to build up on your skin and ultimately you enjoy an acne or problem free skin irrespective of your skin type.

I am a BIG fan of seeing everyone wearing a healthy, clear skin, even if you are not using products. Just make sure that you put your health first when it comes to your skincare too.
