💥 In commemoration of the World's Mental Health Day 2022, the Department of Psychiatric, Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in collaboration with Plateau State Medical Students Association (PLAMSA) presents a Public Health awareness campaign program ( *Health Talk* ) with the theme:
*"MAKE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING FOR ALL A GLOBAL PRIORITY".*

The World Mental Health Day is observed every _10th of October_ which aims at raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

Hello fellow infectious 🤗, I am glad to share with you on this week edition of advocacy Friday.
Today, we'll center on an emerging technology in cardiac medicine - *Biofabrication* .

Organ biofabrication is the ability to bioprint an organ (heart, liver, etc.), mimicking the structure of the organ thereby creating a copy of the organ.

The ability to bioprint a human heart is one of the Holy Grails of Cardiac Medicine. Since the heart, unlike many other organs in the body does not repair itself after suffering an injury, like a heart attack.
Recent research involving _gene therapy_ and _microRNA_ technology has allowed scientists to regenerate heart muscle in pig hearts, a close model for humans, while other research groups are still racing to be able to build heart for transplantation.

A team of researchers at Harvard's John A. Paulson's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have taken a step towards solving a century-old heart muscle mystery and towards the ability to eventually fabricate entire human heart for transplantation. They used a process called Focused Rotary Jet Spinning (FRJS), to make their heart model.
