God in his infinite mercy has spared us to witness another year. It is unambiguously clear that we are privilege to witness neither by our wisdom nor our power but the power of God Almighty. We are therefore indebted to him and must show our appreciation through thanking God for allowing us to see this beautiful year 2024 in good health and among the living.

However, there’s continually a challenge to each new beginning. This can be because our memories understand what the past looked like.
The past is visible and concrete, its victories and failures are clear and detached for all to see. However, the future is vague. It is invisible to the naked eye, and only those with the lens of vision will see it, and only the daring, bold and courageous can achieve it.

We invite you to join us so in our bold and courageous mission to build back together and transform Kanke into The Local Government of our dream.
Despite the political challenges we are going through as a State, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. We are optimistic that joy will come in the morning and the work you have elected us to bring good governance and development will continue . Key among the notable changes and developments we will embark upon this year include, renewed infrastructural development, rural electrification, primary education and healthcare facilities, and most significantly a cleaner and greener environment.

As we celebrate this New year, I call on the good people of Kanke Local Government to continue to live in peace with one another. This is the a great secret to having a fulfilled and a prosperous life. I will equally call on you to continue to pray and support our Goverment to achieve and accomplish it's goal one of which is changing the Local Government for the better. We have dedicated ourselves to serving you and pledge to leave a golden legacy behind for our future generation.

May the year 2024 bring more blessings, prosperity, peace and happiness to our dear Kanke Local Government.

As a nation, we need to be proud of our heritage among the comity of nations and remain united as an indivisible entity as we celebrate the nation’s 63rd Independence Day anniversary.

Wish to paid tribute to our founding fathers, who bequeathed the Nation to us and hope that our collective determination would lead to the consolidation on the legacies they left behind.

Our security and law enforcement agencies, who have been working hard to keep the country safe, We prayed for the repose of those who paid the supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country.

I assured the people of Kanke Local Government that the challenges faced are temporary and the years ahead shall be fruitful and wish to reaffirmed optimism in the novel agenda of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will see the Nation through in the years ahead.

Dear youths of our time, here comes another 12th August, 'The International Youth Celebration Day 2023 the annual date earmarked to commemorate the productive and energetic age-group of our dear community, country and World.

The youth according to the International journal are the young human race with that mental strength and resources capable of attaining any set-goals in a diverse Nation and the World. The youth are not just leaders of tomorrow, but leaders of today if provided with proper mentorship and good working environment to excel with exhibition of its naturally gifted talents towards nation's economic development.

The youth has been a wonderful partner of every nation's building, in which contributions can not be overemphasized. As face of Government of the Caring Local Government, Kanke; we are known for records of wholesome support to youth participation and development; within our administrative jurisdiction and Plateau State. We will continue to do more to foster peace, harmony and progress of our dear community and State with satisfactory programmes to enhance self-reliance and economic empowerment to the teeming youths of Kanke local government area.

While I heartedly congratulate the productive age on this occasion of the international Youth Day Celebration; I sincerely charge all to keep focus in positive ideas, in creativity and pursue vigorously with perseverance on mindset to achieve it.

On behalf of myself, family, the Local Government Council, legislative arm and the good people of Kanke Local Government Area We rejoice and celebrate with you as you embark on El-Kabir celebrations today, may the Almighty God in his infinite mercy, blessings and compassion reward our act of sacrifice bountifully.

As we celebrate let us never forget the reason for Eid-el- Kabir. We commemorate an act of complete faith in God and His instructions unto us. Thus, let us not only celebrate but may we also dedicate ourselves to greater adherence and obedience to the compassionate and spiritually nourishing commands of Almighty Allah.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE.

I wish on behalf of myself, management staff, legislative arm and the good people of Kanke Local government condole with the people of Ampang district and the Ngas nation over the demise of one of our illustrious son, brother, father and leader Major Nde Bala Gotom (Rtd) former Transition committee management chairman Kanke Local Government 2007 who passed on yesterday 22 June, 2023.

I wish to equally commiserate with his family members as well for this irreplaceable loss.

Death is inevitable; hence, I wish to implore his family, Ampang district and the Ngas nation to accept the loss of our father with good fate, believing that it is an act of God.

It is my earnest desire that the Lord Almighty shall strengthen you and grant you the courage to bear the loss, while I pray for the repose of his gentle soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through Christ our Lord; Amen.

I was pleased, yesterday, to attend the swearing in reception in honour of the newly inuguarated member representing Kanke constituency, my brother and friend Hon. Joseph Gokum where I charged him to make consultations his top priority as this will give the electorate a sense of belonging. Public consultation gives the people a stronger and clearer voice in the policy making process; it increase the influence of the public and contribute to restoring confidence and faith in the democratic process and the decisions of government. I wish to assure the member of the council's support to ensure he succeed.
Kanke is ours to build, we will not allow any individual or personality to divide us as a people.

I wish to, on behalf of the Local Government Council, Management Staff, the Traditional Council and the entire good and hospitable people of Kanke Local Government heartily rejoices with the President and Commander In-Chief of Armed Forces, Federal Republic of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Sh*ttima as we commemorate 24 years of unbroken and ever advancing democracy. I wish to equally felicitate with the Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, the speaker and members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, the Judiciary, and the great people of Plateau State on yet another historic day of our national life.

As we celebrate more than 20 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, I wish to first appreciate God Almighty for His faithfulness and sufficient grace in our lives as a people. In fact, His grace is evident in every aspect of our national lives as He has been helping us to be on top of every challenge as a nation, especially challenges capable of undermining our democratic processes and cooperate existence as an indivisible entity.

Equally, I wish to sincerely thank the good people of Kanke Local Government and all patriotic Nigerians for keeping faith in our democratic processes. While I wish to urge them to reflect more on the gains thus far and constructively chart for a way forward through suggestions that would be significant in improving and enriching the current practices.

I am appealing for all hands to be on deck in giving the current administration at the Local Governments, State and Federal levels the maximum support and cooperation required .

As part of our administrations concerned in linking communities within the local government, we have commenced work at Nekong 3 box Culvert, and Kubut 2 box Culvert.
The Nekong 3 box culvert when completed will link Nemel to Nenkong while Kubut 2 box culvert will connect Lebwit to Kubut when completed.
These two culverts becomes imperative and dear to our administration considering the challenges and hardship faced by our people who are mostly rural dwellers during raining season and in transporting farm products to neighboring towns/market.
By God's grace these Culverts will be completed in the coming weeks.
Pray with us as we continue to provide purposeful leadership and good governance to our people. ~HJG

I join all distinguished Nigerian, School Principals, teachers,Students and pupils to celebrate our children on this august event of children’s day celebration.

This day being 27th of May 2023 has been specially mapped out to celebrate the good children all over the nation, hence, there is no duty more important than ensuring that the rights,welfare and the safety of our dear children are respected and protected. Also, to imbibe and inculcate good morals, values, disciplines,cleanliness and above all sense of order into our children whom we all know are the future leaders of tomorrow.
We enjoin all the parents to always evaluate the parents-child relationship since the family is regarded as the first and the core agent of socialization of a child, and to make sure that every child does not suffer from any form of parental negligence as this would have an adverse effects on them both in mental and emotional stability as a child.

I therefore implore every parents and guardians, school principals as well as teachers to put all hands on deck to stand up for our children, to nurture, inculcate, impact, build and develop our child in the right and acceptable values and norms of our land in order to produce responsible and productive citizens and leaders of tomorrow, because the development of a country lies in the hands of a child and the foundation of the required knowledge, skills and attitudes are laid this impressionable period.

On behalf of the entire Kanke Local Government Council, I conclude by conveying my warmest wishes on this children day occasion to all the children. Let us celebrate with joy and enjoy the gift of childhood.

Finally, Let us collaborate with and assist our children to perform every required responsibility of making a beautiful society and a better nation tomorrow.

To God be the glory yesterday 25th May, 2023 I was honored to be part of history as the Kanke General Hospital was commissioned by His Excellency Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau State. Other projects executed by my administration which were commissioned include; PHC Referral center Tuwan, Kanke ICT Center and Banking hall Kwal, Amper Primary Health Care clinic.
As it Will be put to use we pray that it will be of beneficial to our people and for the development of our land.
