HEALTHY FAITH
Healthy faith helps you feel great about yourself, your potentials and the ability to live your most desired dreams. Your faith can be healthy or toxic, which ever point you are at, Spiritual wellbeing is a domain in your mental health that has the ability to influence your daily functioning.
While we were kids, we each at one point in time had those moments we played, imagined or dreamed of becoming this or that, with great enthusiasm we look forward to actualizing those or becoming the heroes in those dreams. Some of us might have had a smooth and thriving childhood while others had difficult and challenging childhood experiences that came with pains, disappointment and trauma however, we still amidst the pains had dreams and secret longings. Life might have push some to the edge, and is still placing demand on us. Faith is the currency that purchases our dreams and turn them into expected reality.
How is your faith?
Faith is a set of beliefs and convictions that helps you sustain your dreams on things you have desired and things planted in your mind from the beginning of time as early as childhood. Is your faith healthy or toxic? Toxic faith will destroy our dreams but a healthy faith can draw us back to those wonderful dreams. We need to build a dynamic faith that is based on a healthy belief about God, ourselves and others in other to breed breakthroughs and incredible experiences of power, serenity and a balance Self-Esteem. This is God’s plan for you: plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. You are God’s miracle! healthy faith keeps you in wellbeing.

God loves you and you are his miracle for today; he knows your strength and weakness.
Affirmation:
I acknowledge my imperfect thoughts, actions and disposition BUT I embrace STRENGTH, FOCUS and DISCIPLINE by my God. Knowing that his plans for me are for good and not evil.

How healthy is your inside? Your thoughts? Your longings and desires? Your Passion?

Healthy Self-Esteem starts with you and what’s inside of you. Most people only focus on their looks, but real health starts from inside. What you think, believe and feel about your self. What rules you in thoughts and actions towards your self.
You are what you are full of! Whatever saturates your thoughts and mind governs you.

Just for today:
Know that you can't give what you dont have and its your responsibility to fill up your mind. How you will the mind and what you fill your mind with matters.

How do you see yourself? Forgiven? Blessed? Hopeful?

Self-esteem is the value you place on yourself. It’s the way you see, think, and feel about yourself. God sees you as His perfect creation, so shouldn’t you see yourself as He does?

"Ending stigma and discrimination in mental health"

Last month one of the world’s highest impact medical journals ‘The Lancet’ published a commission report focusing on how we end stigma and discrimination in mental health.

The report focused on stigma reduction stratagies across several sectors one of which was the media and its role in the perception of mental health.

We can also reduce stigma and discrimination by pushing aside the stigma and discrimantion surrounding complex mental health and changing the way we talk about, and care for, mental illness.

It’s all information.

My body knows I’m stressed before my mind registers and makes note of it.

I get lingering headaches and fogs that often last for 2 weeks.

And while my first reaction is to either push through, dismiss or quickly treat the symptom, I’ve also learned to view this as my body calling my attention and communicating that things are off.

It says, NO: slow down, stop avoiding, speak up, move my body, put the shame down, seek help, cry, connect with a friend, eat and nourish properly, get out into nature.

It’s all information from the body.

What is your body trying to communicate to you? Is it saying “NO” to something you’re not saying “NO” to?

Just a friendly reminder that the brain of those who have suffered trauma is physically different than a "normal brain". Trauma and abuse have severe, long-term psychological and neurological effect.

This is why you have difficulty concentrating, why you have trouble sleeping, why you can't seem to stay focused, why you cry at the drop of the hat, why you're not satisfied with yourself, why you think everything is your fault, why you think you're toxic, why you're full of regret and you don't know why

And get this. When you experienced this trauma, no matter how long it happened or how many times, your brain instantaneously made judgments about the world, your sense of self, and others. This is why you're paranoid. Why you trust no one. Why you perceive things to exist that aren't true in reality. It's why people say you're crazy, over dramatic, or too emotional.

You may not heal in a day, but know this: it is not your fault. Your brain is responding to trauma.
