It's been a tough time for the industry over the recent weeks, as officers around the country have been registered as key workers to maintain public safety and protect empty offices & hotels, as well as the busy supermarkets.

As a security professional, we have been working around the clock to support hotels that are still operating during the lockdown, as they provide rooms for healthcare workers and shelter for those facing the pandemic without a home. It is a proud moment when we realise how powerful our efforts can be when we combine our hard work with law enforcements and medical professionals to keep as many people healthy as we can.

These times show us all that life is all about compassion, and it will be our biggest tool to get us through this enjoy "normal" life again.

Kabiru Sokoto, you all remember him? He was a member of Boko Haram who detonated the bomb which scattered a Catholic Church in Suleja, claiming life of many innocent Nigeria.

He was arrested, detained and awaiting trial. A Commissioner of Police by name Zakari Biu from Bornu State allegedly released him and claimed he escaped.
Kabiru Sokoto was later rearrested, prosecuted and convicted. After thorough investigation into his release, Zakari Biu was dismissed from the police for being culpable.
Buhari took over government, reinstated Zakari Biu, restored his ranks and retired him.
