Mentorship Session

Good day dear Equitarians. Equity Chambers, BUK, invites you to a special mentorship session with the theme: "A Day with the LAWSAN National President".

It goes without saying that His Excellency, Yasir Abubakar Sadiq, GCOL, SABUK, the President of the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), is a personification of excellence, an epitome of leadership and a perfect example of brilliance. And His Excellency is our mentor for the session!

The mentorship session promises to be magnificent. It is specifically targeted at the LLB I and LLB II Equitarians. However, the door is not shut. After all, nobody can afford to miss a mentorship session with His Excellency!

There is something about death that makes it frightening and devastating, it comes unannounced and it can come at anytime, any day and anywhere - whether we are ready for it or not. It's completely Allah's will.

It's with a heavy heart that we, the Executive Members of the Equity Chambers, BUK, extend our deepest condolence to our Principal Partner and brother, Yahaya Ahmad, for the loss of his father.

We ask Allah (SWA) to have mercy on him and admit him into Jannah. May He (SWA) also give you and your family the courage and the fortitude to bear this devastating loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take heart, brother. Condolences!

A new session has begun. Lectures have commenced. Returning students have returned. Fresh students have joined. It's a bright new dawn for the former just as it is a glorious new beginning for the latter.

Equity Chambers, Faculty of Law, BUK, welcomes both fresh and returning students to the new academic session.

Set your goals and objectives for this session. Work and walk towards realizing those goals and objectives. Prepare your mind. Work hard and work smart. Everything can be achieved if the heart and the mind are put towards it. So, go for it!

Abdurrahman Nasir Salis is an Associate in Nigeria’s top tier law firm, G. Elias. He represents, assists and advises local and international clients in a wide range of transactions and projects including bonds and commercial paper issuance, foreign investment advisory, asset acquisitions, construction, dispute resolution among others.

Abdurrahman’s practice areas cover capital market transactions, disputes, electric power, oil and gas, projects and new economy.

Abdurrahman has a track record of academic excellence, he bagged Justice Muhammed Bello Award as the Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Law, Bayero University Kano and had Barrister at Law (B.L) with 4 distinctions and a B+ from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus.
