Katsina City Toastmasters Club
In Toastmasters International members learn to improve their leadership and communication skills through practice.
A big congratulations to Mustapha Shehu, our Immediate past president for receiving the honorary High Flyer Award by the Toastmasters International for his commitment to leadership development and the active role he plays in spreading the Toastmaster message. This is well deserved.
We had an interesting outing on Tuesday 20th Sept, 2022 with the club president where we visited the Rector KSITM Dr. Babangida Abubakar Albaba.
The president as part of his plans to restore the clubs momentum led this visit after he learned about the history of the club with the institute.
In his remarks he thanked the Rector for all the support he offered including helping us with 11 paid members to qualify for a charter license in 2018. He went ahead to become an active member and host our meetings in the institute for about a year.
The president invited the Rector to reinstate his membership as a way to encourage our members and their staff and also requested the club to be given opportunity to return our meetings back to the institute our initial home.
The Rector was delighted by our visit and congratulated @Mal. Nura Ilyas as the new president. He pledged his support as usual and asked us to write officially for his assent.
The president decorated the Rector with a TI badge in anticipation for his reinstatement.
