*HATMAN DELEGATION VISITS GREGORY UNIVERSITY UTURU, ABIA STATE*

Earlier today, a delegation of HATMAN paid a courtesy call to the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Gregory University (GU) Uturu, Abia State. The courtesy call equally extended to a familiarization and facility tour of the institution regarding the 15th International HATMAN Conference – *ABIA 2021.*

The high-powered delegation, led by the President – Mr Samson Aturu, included the National Membership Officer (Mr. Ndidi Ezeibe), Prof. Polycarp Igbojekwe, Dr. Cletus Onyeonoro, and Prof. Paulinus Ngoka (Chairman, LOC – ABIA 2021). The delegation was received by the HOD, Hospitality and Tourism of the university, Ms. Omelebele Añunobi, who expressed delight for the foreseen collaboration between the institution and HATMAN.

The Ag. Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe, was equally delighted on the reality of HATMAN International Conference coming to Abia State for the very first time, with GU Uturu as host. He assured on the readiness of the university to offer a world class event with the availability of world class facilities within the coffers of the university.

The university’s facilities and serene environment are capable of driving international conferences of the best quality. The state of the art 1000 capacity Auditorium, the university Amphitheatre, over 15 air-conditioned 14 seater buses (for city tour), and super standard university guest house are a few of the outstanding provisions that the university has already offered for HATMAN 2021 Conference.

The LOC Chairman, the erudite Prof. Poly Ngoka is already poised to work with the best hands in the university and HATMAN (within the state and beyond) to deliver the best conference outing in the association’s history. Hence, the university is ready to host the association during the conference already slated for 2nd to 5th November, 2021.

The Executive Council of HATMAN is grateful to the *Chancellor of the university, Prof. G.I. Ibe, OFR (Enyi Abia),* for the gesture of the acceptance to host the association. The Council also appreciates Prof Augustine Ayodele for the initial approach, earlier this year, which led to the gracious acceptance of the Chancellor of the university to host the association.

Consequently, the Executive Council of HATMAN is hereby inviting all members of HATMAN to the 13th International Conference of HATMAN which will take place in the most serene and peaceful environment in this federation – Uturu, Abia State.

Guidelines for completion of HATMAN Application Forms

There are three types of Application Forms for HATMAN membership that are published on the association's website. These are:

1) Application Form for Membership_ This form is designed for individuals who are professionals in Hospitality, Tourism & related fields and have undergone prescribed course of study in programmes that are duly accredited. Application Form may be downloaded from the web, printed and completed accordingly. Completed Application Form should be signed by referees listed in page 4 of the Application Form. Payment for Application Form should be made to HATMAN at any branch of UBA in Nigeria. The bank slip and Form should be mailed to HATMAN at the address contained in bottom of page 4 of the Application Form.
Membership Form may also be completed and submitted directly to HATMAN through its website. Where application is submitted via the web, the Reference Form should be downloaded, completed by the referee and dispatched to HATMAN along with the bank slip of payment made to HATMAN at UBA in Nigeria. 2) Application Form for Corporate Membership_ Prospective corporate members may down load Application Form on the web and dispatch completed form to HATMAN at the corporate office contained on page 4 of the Application Form. 3) Application Form for Student Membership_ Students undergoing accredited programmes in relevant disciplines may apply for Student Membership. Membership of HATMAN provides the platform for students to benefit from the several training activities of HATMAN including participation in Student's Forum, conferences, workshops and receiving free copies of HATMAN Newsletter which is published quarterly. On successful completion of school programme, the resume of student members is published on HATMAN's website to facilitate job placement and for career enhancement. Developers of hospitality and tourism enterprises are encouraged to visit HATMAN website for potential staff resources.
