COMMENCEMENT OF LASU CENTRAL ADMISSIONS CLEARANCE (LACACA) FOR FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS (2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION)

Admitted candidates into Lagos State University in the 2023/2024 academic session are expected to participate in the online admissions clearance exercise through the use of LASU Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA).

Successful candidates, at the end of the LACACA operation, shall be assigned matriculation numbers while unsuccessful candidates shall be considered to have forfeited their offer of provisional admissions.

The LACACA operation is a product of LASU Consult Limited; and as such all the participating and admitted candidates in the 2023/2024 academic session are to pay for the required Clearance Fee through the LASU e-payment portal.

Candidates are expected to complete the process by supplying the following information on their dashboard:

(a) Supply NIN

(b) Supply LASRRA ID

(c) Validate your basic bio-data details

(d) Verify disability status

(e) Upload O’Level scratch card details.

(f) Upload original birth certificate.

(g) Upload original UTME Results.

(h) Upload original JAMB Admission Letter.

(i) Upload scanned Signature.

(j) Submit the application by checking the “I Agree” text box and then click on Submit.

iv. At this stage, the Admission Clearance progresses to 20% while the documents have been submitted for further scrutiny by dedicated University officials.

v. Candidates are therefore expected to check for the progress of the Admission Clearance as necessary attention may be required based on the uploaded documents.

vi. Candidates with error(s) that require correction will be required to pay for correction of such error(s) on the LASU payment portal – https://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment

vii. Upon attainment of 100% clearance progress, successful candidate will be able to print LASU Admission Clearance Certificate for the 2023/2024 Academic Session and be assigned a Matriculation Number.

PS: The online clearance will commence on Friday, 5th of January 2024 for a period of two weeks

Rejected students are advised to check their portal and note the reason for rejection. Some might need to visit the Admission Office on the 3rd Floor, Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, for further guidance.

2023/2024 INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE INDIGENES OF LAGOS STATE

I. All candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2023/ 2024 Admission Exercise will commence on Thursday, 20th July and close on Friday, 18th August, 2023.

II. The Verification Interview will start on Monday, 24th July, 2023.

Please, NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into the Lagos State University.

III. Opening of Portal for Online Registration: Thursday, 20th July, 2023

First Phase Monday, 24th July, 2023 - Thursday, 27th July, 2023
Second Phase Monday, 31st July, 2023 - Thursday, 3rd August, 2023
Third Phase Monday, 7th August, 2023 - Thursday, 10th August, 2023
Mop-up Monday, 14th, August, 2023 - Thursday, 17th August, 2023

GENERAL INFORMATION

i. Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission;

ii. The interview will hold at the following venues:

Ikeja Division: First Floor, L & H Building, Faculty of Arts

Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education

Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law

Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building

Epe Division: School of Transport

iii. Old applicants for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only Revalidate their indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with payment; and

iv. All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State Origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission.

An aspiring Lasuite ignorantly paid over 250,000naira to a man who claims to be a Staff (Professor) of Microbiology department, Lagos state University , convincing her that he processes admission. He sent a fake admission letter, and other fake documents. This girl just got to know when she tried getting her matric number and it wasn't reflecting. After paying for matric gown and Medicals to the same man🥲, she was also threatened to sleep with him, which she did that if not her admission would be at stake.

The SIEU picked him up this afternoon when trying to convince another person.

This is to create awareness to all those who are aspiring undergraduate.
