It may sound crazy, but I sold my first car for exactly N220,000, which is currently equivalent to about $450. I used this money to start the EA Beauty Brand in 2014. I launched with makeup brushes and was in a bubble of success for a few weeks before everything gradually went down the drain. I just could not account for any revenue. I was broke, with no products, no car; in summary, I failed woefully at my first product. ⠀

I was so devastated that I gave up on the brand. I focused my attention on makeup artistry .a.makeup, but I was not happy. I kept thinking about the brand. I wanted to create super affordable products to allow everyone to thrive, regardless of finances. Remember this was back in 2014; there were not many indie brands. The passion burned so much within me that I could not ignore it, so I chose to pick up the pieces left of the brand and start all over again. I relaunched the brand in 2015 with only $250 and 12 shades of glitters.⠀

Looking back now, I can easily tell you what went wrong. I simply did not have the knowledge and tools required to start up the business at the time.
