The reason why a Magnetic Screwdriver must not come near the inside of a Computer System Unit is to prevent Interference with the workings of the Hard Disk Drive and the Motherboard.

Magnetic Interference on Hard Disk can cause damage on the data.

The conditions present in the inside of your computer are Strictly Controlled.

27/02/2016

A Magnetic Screwdriver may be perfect for retrieving lost screws, but it shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the inside of a Computer.

26/01/2016

Your Computer and Magnet

MAGNETISM:
If not for the magnetic skills, your PC’s Hard Disk couldn’t permanently store data, nor could Flash or External disk’s transfer files from here to there and back again.
But while magnetism is undoubtedly a force for good, it can also do damage to your data when allowed to interfere with the strictly controlled conditions present in your computer system.
Be aware that magnets in any form and data stored on magnetic media do not come in contact with one another. Never stick a magnetic paper clip holder on your PC case lest it interfere with the workings of the hard disk drive.

Keep Flash Disk away from magnetic sources like printers, fridges, cars, mobile phones, Hi-Fi speakers and of course, plain magnets. It is also unwise to stack them on top of the PC case.
A magnetic screwdriver may be perfect for retrieving lost screws, but it shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the inside of a computer.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN IF WINDOWS ISN'T SUPPORTED?

An unsupported version of Windows will no longer receive software updates from Windows Update. These include security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software, which can steal your personal information. Windows Update also installs the latest software updates to improve the reliability of Windows—new drivers for your hardware and more.

SUPPORT END DATES:

Here are the dates when support will end for PCs running Windows XP and Windows Vista without the latest service packs:

-Support for Windows XP ended on April 8, 2014. For more information, see Windows XP support has ended.

-Support for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) ended on July 12, 2011. To continue support, make sure you've installed Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2).

-Support for Windows Vista without any service packs ended on April 13, 2010. To continue support, make sure you've installed Windows Vista SP2.

If your version of Windows is still supported, you should always be sure to install the latest updates or service packs for Windows. You can download and install these through Windows Update.

WINDOWS WILL CONTINUE TO RUN

Even if you have an unsupported version of Windows XP or Windows Vista without any service packs, Windows will continue to start and run. But it will not be supported for security updates when online.

WYSIWYG

Do you still remember this acronym?
WYSIWYG means: What You See Is What You Get.

This means that the Text or Image you see on your monitor is exactly what comes out of your printer.

16/11/2015

Plug-and-Play does not require a Software Driver before it can be installed.

Your Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, USB and any other devices you install or connect without requesting for its Driver are Plug-and-Play devices.

29/10/2015

What is a SOFTWARE DRIVER?

A Driver is a software program that enables your PC's Operating System to communicate with Hardware Devices.

Most upgrades involve installing drivers. Without one in place, the computer will recognize that something has been bolted on but can't do a thing with it.

New drivers are often written throughout the lifespan of a device and it pays to check the manufacturer's website from time to time.
An updated driver will often fix problems with an earlier version or even add new functionality.

However, updated drivers can also introduce new troubles.

Did you know?

The Computer Keyboards are 60 times more germs infectious than your toilet seats.

Now you know!

PRECAUTIONS:
1. Wipe the keyboard with disinfectants before use.
2. Wash your hands after use.

27/10/2015

Please Take note:

Those whose PC's are still running on Windows XP (SP2 or SP3), Microsoft no longer support Windows XP when online.

To continue receiving security updates for Windows, make sure your PC is running from Windows 7 and later.

Upgrade to Windows 7, Windows 8 or later if your PC hardware can meet with its System Requirements.

27/10/2015

It is important to recognize the difference between:
1. A computer failure
2. The loss of data

A COMPUTER FAILURE:
In the case of a software problem, its usually possible to reinstall Windows (and any of your programs that you need to) from scratch. And with luck, all your documents & files will survive.
However, a better idea is to take precautionary measures. At the very least, you should be able to make emergency copies of your files before taking more drastic(and dangerous) action, such as re-installing Windows.

THE LOSS OF DATA:
Losing data is an altogether more serious situation. No matter how careful you are, any computer upgrade, repair or maintenance carries with it a risk of damage. The only sensible approach- and believe me, I speak from hard & bitter experience - is to make backup copies of all your important files. In fact, make multiple copies, do it regularly & keep them somewhere safe.
