I was on a mentoring call with a client where I listened quietly as she went on and on about how passionate she was about her business idea and crushing her goals.

She extolled its virtues and how everyone would be sure to fall inlove with this great idea.

I quietly listened till she was done. Then I asked her one simple question, 'Why haven't you started?'

She paused, and sighed and then said, 'Muna, that is why I am calling you. I need you to help keep me accountable so I can begin to execute!'

And here lies the issue!

You see, passion is not enough to sustain the fire of ex*****on.

What she didn't understand was that goals are simply global targets that we keep before us to guide all our efforts directed toward getting the result we desire.

When we set goals, the enthusiasm to pursue it is high and the drive is strong. Especially, during the initial stages of creation.

Unfortunately, many people fail to actualize their goals because they got distracted, tired and lost focus.

The result is that worthy goals which when reached could change their lives never get achieved, despite their having what it takes to actualise it.

Lack of focus in pursuit of a goal has made many business owners remain in one spot longer than they should have been and career people with potentials to become stagnated.

That shouldn't be your case!

The FashionPreneur Program is a Fashion Industry Entrepreneurial and Job creation Support program for Youths in Asaba, Delta State.
