A first time customer ordered my products last night, and I told her the delivery cost is ₦2,500(thats what most riders do charge for her location), she made payment to validate her orders.

Shortly after, I called a rider to inform him about the delivery and my instinct just said I should plead with him to collect ₦2,000, immediately he agreed,

I had to write to my her again requesting for her account details so I can make a refund of ₦500,
she was surprised, But the truth is that, this is not the first time I'm doing this anytime I was able to convince a rider to collect lesser amount for delivery.

If you are an online vendor, you will agree with me that one of our biggest challenge is getting a reliable dispatch rider or logistic company especially for people like me that sells edibles.

I still remember during the early stage of my business, how I will roll on the floor crying and wailing like where someone died ( I am not exaggerating), 🤣🤣🥺, this happens each time a dispatch rider disappoints me considering the FACT that my products are perishables.

For any production I want to do, I must be 100% certain that I have gotten a rider that will come and dispatch it.

As time goes by, I began to develop a thick skin, I realised that crying each time they disappoint has never yielded a solution rather it makes me sick and mentally drained most times. So for any time they disappoint, I will either struggle and get another rider or using Uber and bear the extra cost incurred just to dispatch the job, and then i will suspend using that person,(This was a bit helpful, aside Mr Stanley and Mr Sylvester that has worked for me for two years plus now, these two persons are always straight forward, reliable and efficient ,God bless them for me.)

Fast forward to today, there is another rider that started working with me recently, 2 weeks to be precise, he came in the morning picked two deliveries and Disptached efficiently.👌
Later, I got another two different jobs from 1st time customers, I called him to be sure he can deliver today before I will finalize with the customers, he assured me of coming by 5pm and customers also agreed that the pickup time was okay by them.

Shortly after he called him that he will be in my house earlier then 5pm, (I was happy), so I had to commence production and then put them in the fridge. He left my house about 30 minutes ago, 👌👌👌😇

I have been enjoying absolute peace since 2weeks now, he keeps to time and delivers straight to my Customers once he picks up without delay.

Let me enjoy it while it last 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 If he changes , I go run...
