Tiwa Savage postpones all performances over health issue

Popular musician, Tiwa Savage has revealed she has postponed all her performances including her first ever headline arena show in London due to a health issue.

She made this known in a statement on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

The singer disclosed that she has been suffering a virus for a few weeks and that she has been told to be "on strict vocal rest for the next few months."

The statement reads, “To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months."

“I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.

“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.

“I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”

When people say Shatta helped Burna boy , they are honest .

Kizz Daniel left G world wide and they wanted to cancel him . Kizz Daniel was being cheated in the label . He decided to leave and the people were not ready to let him go . They took everything he had even his name . At first he was called “ Kiss Daniel “ , they collected that name , he had to change his name to KIZZ DANIEL . Thank God Kizz is talented , he managed to restart his life .

Remember Cynthia Morgan ? Where is she ? They cancelled her . Cynthia Morgan was extremely talented , after one song she was going viral , she had disagreements with her label , when she couldn’t accept what they were saying , they cancelled her .

Remember Harrysong ? The Reggae and Blues Crooner ? In a live interview he even revealed that his label wanted to kill him cus he did not accept some things they were bringing .

Are we even going to talk about Mohbad who just died because of record label wahala?

The truth is many young talents come into the industry innocent , when the dark powers confront them , some give up and some end up dying . Dear young artistes , don’t be desperate too , work and build up yourself . If a contract is presented to you , read and give it to an entertainment lawyer to read too . Make sure you understand everything before you sign . The industry is dark , we have people who can end your career and your life .

Be careful , it will be better to stay behind like Shatta and build on your own that build where you won’t get anything .

'I'm well and alive', Tony Umez debunks death rumour

Nollywood actor, Tony Umez has reacted to false reports alleging that he is dead.

The movie star took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to urge his followers to ignore the bloggers and TikTokers reporting his demise.

Tony further threatened to take legal action against the people involved in spreading such news because their actions had caused unnecessary distress to his loved ones and fans.

He wrote, Good day, my lovely people.

"I need to address this disturbing issue that has come to my attention. There are some unscrupulous individuals who have been using my pictures and videos maliciously, falsely reporting me as deceased in order to gain traffic to their pages.

"First and foremost, I want to assure you that I am very much alive and well. These false reports are nothing but baseless rumors spread by individuals with ill intentions. I will be taking legal action against these persons, as their actions not only infringe upon my rights but also cause unnecessary distress to my loved ones and fans.

"I understand the power of social media and the impact it can have on spreading information. However, it is disheartening to see how it can be misused by a few to spread false news for personal gain. I urge you all to be vigilant and only trust information that comes directly from me or my official channels.

Ice Prince Zamani, a Nigerian singer and rapper, believes Rema is currently “one of the best musicians ever on earth.”

Ice Prince expressed pride in the accomplishments of young Nigerian artists and their regard for him as a legend.

This was mentioned by Ice Prince during an appearance on the newest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast presented by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, alias Shopsydoo.

He said: “Talking about the young guys [artistes] and how much they accept me or show me love [regard me as a legend], I just want to say how extremely proud I am of these young guys.

“Right now, I think Rema is one of the greatest musicians ever on earth. I’m very proud of where it is [Nigerian music] . I know that we are in safe hands. Our great-grandkids are good because of what is already happening.”

Ice Prince also disclosed that he is working on a joint album with the Abagas, M.I. and Jesse Jagz.

“Choc Boys will drop an album; M.I, Ice Prince, and Jesse Jagz,” he quipped.

Dear Burna Boy ,

I write again to address you on a topic that would be historical, and it is right we put it on the right perspective for history's sake .

You've been running with the cliche that you created ' Afro-fusion' so as to be accredited an originator or sort of . And so, Davido has made assertion to it that he did . Now, let me clear the issue .

Fusion is defined as the process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity. Afrobeat has been there since Fela, and in fact, Afrobeat was created from high life, and we could say it is the fusion of high-life music with drums and percussions together with African melodies and rhythm.

You joining Afrobeat with some form of Jamaican music and calling it Afro-fusion like you created a new thing is false .

Tuface Idibia was the one who did it first, if there is anything like Afro-fusion . If you listen to Tuface's Album ' Grace to Grass' , he did a lot of fusions in it . I still don't know why this true Afrobeat legend isn't laying hold to his creation if there is anything like that. I call on Tuface to shed that humbleness and acute humility of his and say it now before history will give his works to another because they are more louder than him . This is no time for him to be quiet . History only remembers the bold and those who lay claims to it .

Dear Burnaboy and Davido , none of you created Afro-fusion because it doesn't exist . Afrobeat is already a fusion of high life in the past , and today, a fusion of other genres. A fusion can't have another fusion, on top of another fusion, but if we say it is , then the creator is TUFACE IDIBIA, not you !

I begged to perform at shows in 2021 — Iyanya

Nigerian singer, Iyanya Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya has recounted moments in 2021 when he had to beg to perform at shows.

The singer on his Twitter page said revealed that last year was gloomy as he only had one paid show performance.

Iyanya said, ‘Last year, December 2021, I performed at 3 shows, one paid and I begged to perform at 2 just to be seen.

“2022 December, I wake up and every day to alert for shows, haven’t had this kind of busy December since 2017. 20+ shows in one month. God Thank you 🙏🏿”

The artiste also thanked his fans for their support. He wrote, “there’s got to be more and I promise 2023 will be a better year for everyone who has supported me this year. We will definitely have a great 2023”

This is to inform the general public that the Thanksgiving Mass/ Grand Reception organized by Ogbadibo APC Family in honour of our Leader, Senator Dr George Akume and our State Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada has been postponed.

The postponement became unavoidable following the adjustment of APC primaries' timetable which now schedules screening of aspirants for state assembly, national assembly, governorship and presidential elections between Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15, 2022 respectively.

Considering the serious nature of this critical party activity which involves all stakeholders, the Central Planning Committee has painfully paused the event in the meantime to allow more time for better planning.

We deeply regret every inconvenience this action may have caused our hallowed invited guests and teeming party supporters who were anxiously beckoning on the deal day to come.

A new date for the event will be communicated in no distant time.
