A man who recently met SAMI having read the personal experience of our communications officer (as shared in Slide 2-5) with HMO reached out asking how he could lend a helping hand. This is how he placed the 3 children living with sickle cell on the state-run health insurance policy.

From cradle to grave, the heart is working, so we need to pay attention to our heart.

For people living with sickle cell, our heart health is much more important. This is because when blood cells are sickled, they can block vessels to the heart just like they do to our hands, feet, etc. You should visit your doctors regularly to maintain a healthy heart.

Thanks to and for this video, πŸ“Έ: Use heart, know heart.
