Never Give Up!!!!!!!!

On that fateful day, I was just lying down on my bed, feeling extremely weak and tired. I was broke, sick and hungry at the same time. I needed good food to help me recuperate.

A naming ceremony was going on in the compound, and the noise from the music was banging my head.

I came out in front of the compound to sit and stretch my wearied body. While seated on the pavement, one young boy of about ten years came out from the compound and handed me a small nylon bag that contains take away and a small plastic bottle of fanta. I looked at him, my eyes demanding an explanation when he blurted out.

“Iya Seun say make I give you this food and..." He had not finished talking when a robust looking woman came out from the same compound, snatched the food from me, and gave the little boy a deafening slåp.

"Na wetin dey worry you? I say make you carry food give brother Kolade, na em you carry the food come give person wey I no know." She sighed loudly and walked away, leaving the poor boy in tears. People had turned and started looking at me in a funny way, and I felt so embarrassed. She handed the takeaway pack to the supposed Brother Kolade, but the guy, probably seeing how I was embarrassed, rejected the food.

The woman began to cuss and quarrel, but the Kolade simply walked away. She turned towards the boy and roared angrily.
"Iwo! Oloriburuku! Oponu!" She began to cuss again, then turned towards me, hissed loudly and began talking again.

I had enough so I jejely stood up and entered my room only to see my phone ringing loudly. I picked it, and it was one of my paddy. He was talking loudly and excitedly.

"Victorious Victor, how far nah? I don dey call your line since. There is this friend of mine that needs the services of a writer, so I mentioned you to him at. He said he needs the work in one week. Can you deliver so I can go ahead and give you his number?"

I answered in the affirmative, and he said the guy was going to call me shortly.

True to his words, the guy called, and we talked about what he wanted me to do for him. We agreed on a price, and I gave him my account details. He credited me with 20k which was half of the agreed price with the promise to pay the balance when I finish the work.

When he ended the call, I did breathe in and out for like five times for me to regain my composure. I picked my ATM card, went to the nearest bank and cashed half of the money. From there, I went to a standard restaurant and ordered semo with correct egusi soup garnished with goat meat, offfals and other orishirishi. I also bought provisions on my way home.

I went home, ate the food, took my typhoid drugs and slept from that evening till around 10 a.m the next day. When I woke up, I took tea and bread with fried eggs. I had my bath, slept off again to wake up by 3p.m.That was when I looked at the topic I was asked to write on, and inspiration began to flow like rivers of living water.

Chaiii, what good food cannot do does not exist.

The typhoid & malaria left me by force, and I soaked myself into the work, and finished it even before the deadline.

I thought about that incident, and I couldn't help thinking about how life works. I woke up that morning, broke, hungry and sick. But I went to bed with money in my account, a filled stomach, and a healthy body.

How to Care for a Human Hair Wig
Pre-Wash

Gently remove tangles with fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Start at the ends and slowly work toward the roots to avoid damage. Do not brush.
Wash

Do not soak or submerge product. Rinse by holding the hair under running cool water. Allow the water to run from roots to ends.
Place a small amount of shampoo for color-treated hair in your hand, evenly and gently stroke it through the hair in a downwards motion from the roots to the ends.
Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze to press out excess water. Do not twist or wring.
Condition

Place a small amount of conditioner for color-treated hair in your hand, evenly and gently work it through the hair in a downwards motion from the mid-shaft down to the ends avoiding the base and root. Applying conditioner to the base may cause shedding.
Leave conditioner on for 1-2 minutes or follow the conditioner manufacturer’s instructions. Do not exceed 3-5 minutes.
Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze or use a clean, dry towel to press out excess water. Do not twist or wring.
Place wet wig on a wig stand until it is completely dry. Finger styling is recommended.
Styling

Style as desired:

To straighten, take a 1 inch section starting at the roots and run a flat iron to the ends.
To curl, wrap the hair around a curling iron and hold for 10 seconds and release.
If desired use hair spray on the final styled product.
Tips & Tricks

Wash or rinse all human hair products and style before wearing. Human hair is not ready to wear out of the box.
Rinsing with hot water will damage the cap.
Do not dry on a solid form or mannequin head to avoid stretching the cap.
We do not recommend sleeping, showering or swimming while wearing the wig.
Store the wig on a wig stand to avoid unwanted kinks or crimps.
Lace is delicate and should not be tugged or pulled.
Avoid brushing the hair when wet to prevent damage.
Any cutting or chemical processes, such as perming or coloring, should be done by a professional hair stylist. We do not recommend lifting or bleaching human hair; depositing color provides the best result.
