Those were my first reactions when i saw the rate of this sewing machine on Amazon here in Brooklyn Newyork.

Relocation or japa runz made me sell off 70 sewing machine from Valisimo fashion school in lagos and Abuja ....hummmmmmm.........my dear sister read that line again to fully understand where i am coming from and how important this current new machine is in the rebuilding of the valisimo brand here in the US.

I started my shop 2011,in yaya abatan with just 5 sewing machines, 2 industrial and 3 black heads....as the years went by i bought more and they were 15...soon after i needed more and it became 30, in my 3 bedroom shop at 13 yaya abatan street oga lagos.

One day,i was coming to the office and i noticed that 2 buildings away from my shop then was vacant....quickly i got intouch with the agent and got another 3 bedroom apartment.......now there was more space so i got more sewing machines to fill them up.soon after the compound had another vacant 3bedroom i collected it making 9 bedrooms with oldschool big palours....😁 the idea of having a makeup studio came so i started the makeup school too. Along the way an opportunity came to be in Abuja so i also invested in sewing machines there thats how i came to have 70 sewing machines over a space of 9 years.....God really blessed me, my family fully supported me .business was very good.....if na 6 figure business you won talk about......from my fashion school business i got it and as i got my profits, i reinvested. I never got a bank loan for Valisimo fashions at all.

The 70 sewing machines were the ones that were physically present in the school......i know so far when you talk of someone going to the market to buy sewing machines....i bought a hell of a lot because I do promo tire....🥴 haaaa.....pay for 6moths infull and get a sewing machine free......pay for 9 months and get a free industrial machine chai....that was still me getting it from the companys capital and plenty people benefited from it, looking back now.....i am glad i was part of their fashion designing journey.

Hummmmm back to now.....i don japa and i want to restart 🤣👉 imagine me looking for sewing to buy only to see the price and i almost fainted.wetin be this.....$2,499 for one haaaaa 😳 , see to understand me well convert 2.5k dollars into naira to get the full details of what i am saying here.i really wanted this perticular brand but that rate is way more than i expected....."I never essperedtit" 😄 no one told me to look for another brand jeje that just took out the 2k on it.🙄

So at $429 plus shipping it came up to $499....when you convert that to naira, its still very crazy for my Nigerian mind to comprehend because thats like getting one white head at alittle over 400k or 500k to 550k in naira depending the rise and fall of the dollar. Last week dollars was over 1k
This week i am seeing 800naira...who knows what it will be next week.

Anyway my sewing machine is on its way.....and when it comes......lol.....work don start be that o.

On this group....like i always say we have everyone here at different categories or stages in sewing, the amazing thing about this is......where you are right now some one somewhere is wishing and praying to be at that perticular level.

You too, there are parts of this sewing thing that you wish you know even if you be boss now that you still dont know and you will be very glad if someone somewhere decides to share that aspect you want to improve.

So the goal is......nothing is too irrelevant to share, nothing is too good or too simple or too complex to post here.post it with a picture or a comment and you might just be helping another tailor get better.
