In life ensure that casket and expensive funeral arrangements are not the grestest gift you will give your loved ones. They will not be alive to appreciate them and can’t benefit from them. You will be spending to impress the world and not them. Reach out to your loved ones now they are still alive. Send them gifts and pay attention to whatever that bothers them. Call them on phones often and don’t delay in returning their calls because a time will come when their contacts on your phone book will be useless. Change the proposed casket money to daily care and welfare expenses. Buy them cars now if you can and don’t save money to rent expensive cars for their funeral. If you had any opportunity now then go and feast and dance with them. Don’t wait until the day of their funeral before you will hire pallbearers to dance with their co**se. Spending on them with whatever you have now can never be compared to what you display at their funeral.
May God grant eternal rest to the dead and consolation to the living 🙏🏽

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen!
We celebrate God’s one Nature and the three persons in one God. The three Divine Persons of the Blessed Trinity are United without any confusion and distinct without any separation. This is a great mystery! It is a great mystery not in the sense that we cannot understand the Blessed Trinity. It is a mystery because we cannot fully understand it but can understand it to the extent God chooses to reveal himself to us in the Scripture. Although the term “Trinity” is not found in the scripture, the evidence of the manifestation of the Divine persons are replete in the Scripture both in the Old and the New Testament. May the Unity, solidarity and love that flow in the community life of the Blessed Trinity be present in our lives, relationships, families, communities and in the world so that we may enjoy peace and goodness. Amen 🙏🏽

IS IT RIGHT AND CANONICAL TO DEPRIVE A DECEASED CATHOLIC FAITHFUL A CATHOLIC FUNERAL BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS ALLEGEDLY OWING SOME LEVIES?
Canon law identifies only three groups of people that should be deprived of ecclesiastical funerals:
1. Notorious apostates, heretics, and schismatics
2. Those who chose cremation of their bodies for reasons contrary to Christian faith
3. Other manifest sinners who cannot be granted ecclesiastical funerals without public scandal of the faithful
(cf. can. 1184, par. 1)
The second paragraph of this canon stipulates that in the case of doubt, the local ordinary should be consulted and his judgment must be followed.
Canon law does not forsee the possibility of depriving a Catholic who has not paid his levies of ecclesiastical funeral.
What the law stipulates in c. 848 with regards to the administration of the sacraments should also be taken into consideration in the case of ecclesiastical funeral.
Canon 848 stipulates:
"For the administration of the sacraments the minister may not ask for anything beyond the offerings which are determined by the competent authority, and he must always ensure that the needy are not deprived of the help of the sacraments by reason of poverty."
Diocesan bishops in Nigeria especially in some dioceses in South Eastern Nigeria have a big role to play here. Since they have ordinary, proper, and immediate power in the diocese entrusted to them (c. 381), they should regulate the levies associated to ecclesiastical burial if there is any. If there is none then they should issue a decree to address the issue of funerals with regard to their dioceses and set up a commission to enforce it. If there is burial levy which I doubt should exist let it be clear to all the faithful in the respective dioceses. If there is none then let it also be clear to the faithful and priests of the dioceses.

On this day, May 21, 2013, at Seat of Wisdom Seminary, Owerri, Cardinal Peter Okpaleke the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia was consecrated a Bishop with Archbishop Anthony J.V. Obinna, the Archbishop of Owerri, as the principal consecrator.
Cardinal Okpaleke was appointed the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara by his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on December 7, 2012 but this appointed was met by rejection by the people of Ahiara diocese. Thank God for the wisdom of the Church. The crisis has been resolved.
Happy Episcopal Anniversary your Eminence!

Most of those involved in the inhumane treatment and oppression of widows in Africa and particularly in Nigeria are women! They are the widows’ sister in-laws who leave their own families to go and dictate in the families of their deceased brothers. Most of them play the roles of Legislators, judges and executives in their brothers’ families while they are known for not having good reputations even in their own families. They are always defensive when it concerns their brothers and their sister in laws but they are monsters in their own matrimonial homes. They are even more wicked than the Uncles of the widows ‘ children or their brother in laws.
Even more seriously, It’s the worst and the most scandalous when they are all Catholics teaming up against their brothers’ widows who are converts to Catholic Church. These widows embraced catholic faith because of their husbands’ love for them. Now, what can be so scandalous to be married into a catholic family and ended up being maltreated as a widow by a catholic family? Those who should give solace in moment of grief turn into oppressors and aggressors! They forget that there is life after funeral. They forget that there will be judgement! They forget that God is not deaf to the cry of the oppressed! They forget that the children will never forget how their mum is treated in their moment of grief and bereavement. Indeed, there is life after funeral! May God console all good and innocent widows 🙏🏽

3 WAYS TO SUCCEED IN LIFE WITHOUT WORKING HARD: SECRETS TO EASY AND SOFT LIFE
I have finally discovered three secrets for making it in life without hardworking. They are :
1. Use the go and from that point forward you will be given the choice to go to the nearest station and then return home to find the next bus to the nearest railway line. The next bus will then go to your nearest train to get there and then return back home to your destination where they will find your way back to your station and then back again to your nearest railway line and you can find your way back home.
2. Go towards your final check point and then return home. Then there is a mark of the envelope that you will see on your desk and you should be prepared to leave the box in front of your office to make sure that the envelope has been placed on your front porch and your mailbox will not get stuck on your desk when you’re leaving the office and your envelope will be there to the front door when you’re leaving it.
3. If after reading the first and the second paragraphs patiently and you still did not understand anything then just know that what Jesus said in the Bible is true about life: “Hard way is the only way”. Hardworking pays and you can’t achieve anything without hardworking, dedication and honesty. There is no short cut and easy way to life. Know this and know peace. Repent and believe the Gospel!
