Your fuel pump is responsible for supplying the engine with the fuel it needs to run. When your fuel pump is failing or getting bad, these signs come by easily:

1. Whining noise from the fuel tank: A loud whining is the major sign that your fuel pump is failing. When it is worn out or old, the fuel pump produce a more prominent howl while running. Be observant.

2. Difficulty starting: A weak fuel pump can still pump fuel, but the vehicle will experience difficulty starting due to lack of pressure. It may cause more cranks to start than normal.

3. Engine sputtering: Another sure indicator is a sputtering engine. If you drive often at high speed and you notice the engine sputter suddenly before returning to normal operation, that may be issues with the fuel pump.

4. Stalling at high temperatures: Stalling can happen for varied reasons but when a rising car temperature is paired with it, there's a need to check/replace the fuel pump.

5. Car Surging: Irregular resistance inside the fuel pump motor can cause your vehicle to feel like the gas pedal has been used. If this happens often, you may need to check your fuel pump

6. Car will not start: If the fuel pump fails completely to the engine being unable to run, the vehicle will not start although it may crank when the key is turned.

To properly ascertain the problem of your car, we recommend you get it checked immediately.

It's a weekend, let's fix that for you..😊

Your alternator charges the car’s battery and powers the entire electrical system of the car.

Once it goes bad, the entire electrical system of your car shuts down.
In other to avoid such occurrences here are some signs to look out for .

1. The Battery Warning Light
If you have checked all the warning lights on your dashboard while the ignition is on but your car’s engine is not running, you should notice a warning light with a car battery icon.

2. The Headlights Are Dim Or Flickering
The more power your headlights receive, the brighter your headlights will be. But if the alternator is failing, the voltage to your headlights will drop and they will become dimmer. When you notice your headlights flickering, that’s coming from an unstable voltage coming from the alternator.

For cars with LED headlights so you will not notice on time and the downside is the lights could go off completely before you even realize it!

3. Car Starting Problems
If the alternator is going out, it might not charge every time you drive. At some point, your car will drain more power than it is charging. Eventually, your car will not turn over.

If you think your car feels tired every time you start it, it could be an issue with your alternator.

4. Noises Coming From The Engine Bay
The alternator consists of bearings and other spinning electronic parts. If your alternator has been damaged, you could hear squealing or banging sounds coming from it.

Most times, a bad bearing inside the generator which will cause a scratching sound. In cases like this, you should contact a professional mechanic to help you out.

5. Flat Car Battery
If you are charging your car’s battery regularly but the battery is continually draining even if it’s in good condition, more than likely the culprit is your alternator.

6. Other Electronic Failures
Low voltage caused by a bad alternator can cause many strange issues both inside and outside your car. If you think something strange is going on with your car, it’s a really good idea to check the alternator or get someone to help you out.

As round off on the brand. Below, are the 3 most common issues with your Lexus cars you should have in mind when buying one.

OIL LEAKS
Like many vehicles, a commonly reported problem with Lexus vehicles is oil leaks. Most Lexus owners complain about this problem occurring as early as 8,000 miles into the vehicle's life. Oil leaks can be costly to repair. However, if you regularly service your car (and its gaskets), you may be able to prevent this issue altogether.

WATER LEAKING
Another common problem with Lexus vehicles is water leaking into the cabin of the car. This occurs mainly due to defects or damages around the sunroof or moonroof area. While it doesn't happen in all Lexus vehicles, it can be expected and often occurs around the 20,000 to 30,000-mile mark.

BRAKES
With time your brakes will wear out. And the friction present in your brake system when you step on the brake pedal will be a lot more intense than you may think. The harder you are on your brakes, the sooner your pads and rotors will wear out.

Thankfully, brake repairs are relatively straightforward, so if you hear any grinding or scraping noises or the pedal feels softer than usual, please take it to a mechanic right away!

, our team of experts can help keep your Lexus in top-tier condition with preventative maintenance services.

Thinking of getting a Lexus pretty soon?
Get in here and skim through this.

1. 2007 Lexus ES 350
Years 2007 and 2008 were simply terrible for Toyota's luxury division. The 2007 ES 350 has its all melting dashboards and other interior parts that were sub-par, but the 2008 model for the ES 350 was worse. The 2008 model even had deteriorating steering wheel material alongside its melting dashboards, and an oil-leaking engine made things so much worse for the brand and the ES 350.
Moreso, some customers reported blown engine heads, which made the 2008 model a lot costlier to report, making it, by far, the worst ES 350 from Lexus. It even came with faulty electronics which inadvertently made the moon roof and the windows open by themselves.

2. 2007 Lexus LS 460:
The 2007 LS 460 reported melting dashboards and armrests! In fact, even the door panels melted in the car, which led to huge numbers of recalls for the car. To make matters worse, the car also had a faulty brake actuator, which failed a lot of customers, making the 2007 LS 460 a car Lexus wants to forget.

3: 2009 Lexus RX 350: This mid-size SUV suffered from massive oil leaks and loss of oil pressure, and a steering rack leak made matters worse.
These repairs were quite costly as well, which makes the 2009 Lexus RX 350 the car's worst model year, followed closely behind by 2007. Even the transmission is faulty for this one, and thus, the 2009 RX 350 is simply a bad vehicle, and best left avoided and forgotten.

4. 2006 Lexus GX 470:
A clunky engine was the first of the SUV's problems, which were further enhanced by a problematic drivetrain that left thousands of customers with a bad taste in their mouths. Thus, the 2006 GX 470 is one of the worst-rated Lexus cars when it came to reliability and long-term usage.

5. 2007 Lexus IS 250:
The IS 250, as good a car as it is today, had problematic interior accessories in 2007, the first of which, unsurprisingly, was the melting dashboards and interior materials. Electrical failures were pretty frequent in the car as well, which led to the 2007 Lexus IS 250 becoming the worst of IS 250 in the car's entire model year history.

Yes, the Lexus brand is owned by the Toyota Motor Corporation, which is headquartered in Japan.

In many ways, however, the luxury vehicle brand operates independently from the Toyota and has since grown on its own with it's range of sleek designs that has since rocked the car market.

Now you know!😎

Throwing it back to Lexus's very first!✌️

The LS stands for Luxury Sedan, and 400 is the size of the engine.

The which was Lexus's first, debuted in the United States at the Detroit auto show in January, 1989, but was not produced until May 1989, and did not go on sale until September 1989.

We know Lexus manufactures a lot of sporty and fun to drive cars but the 2022 Lexus RX does not fall in that category.

Even though it has an aggressive, stylish and available F Sport model, the RX is soft and delivers a smooth ride with two fuel-efficient powertrain offerings.
Our car of the week is the LEXUS RX 350 and below, is a detailed review about it..

1. Comfort and Quality:
The standard RX is a two-row, five seat model that also has an extended length L model that can increase the seats up to seven across three rows. The inside has a plush cabin with many technology features and premium finishes good for a compact luxury SUV of that category.

2.Fuel Economy:
The fuel estimation is where the RX shines and not only because it has a hybrid power rain that has 31 mpg city-run and 28 mpg highway run. The non-hybrid RX350 has a fuel estimation of 20 mpg city-run and 27 highway run when equipped with front wheel drive.

3. Styling & Design
Lexus used fine materials for the RX's interior such as soft leather, textured metallic or wood trims, and soft-touch plastics. The driving position is very comfortable and easy. The 2022 RX even has standard fog lamps and three new colors: Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, and Grecian Water.

4.Performance
During its performance testing, the RX350 trim, equipped with all-wheel drive, ran from 0 mph to 60 mph in just 6.9 seconds. The RX450h, which is one of the model's few hybrids, required a longer time to reach 60 mph compared to the other trims.
This RX has a good ride that is comfortable, removes rough roads and delivers a compliant ride.

5. Infotainment Features:
The Enform infotainment system is difficult to use while driving but it comes standard with many modern motors and is a sought-after feature. Fortunately, Lexus has added touch screen capability to the RX's infotainment system.

5Safety
It has standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, an available lane-ldeparture warning with lane keeping assist, rear head &front side airbag, 4-wheel ABS, etc.

If your car, especially a has been experiencing this, here are few reasons why.

Read through carefully to see what your car is presently going through .

1. Dirty Fuel Injectors: This is a common and annoying problem that can be responsible for a variety of issues. Dirty injectors can cause your car to lose power and make your car jerk while driving at constant speed or from a stop due to frequent engine misfires.

2. Blocked Catalytic Converter : This is responsible for reducing the amount of pollutants that exit out of a car’s exhaust. When the air/fuel mixture in your engine is too rich, a blockage can develop in the catalytic converter over time which disrupts the airflow of the exhaust system.

3.Faulty Mass Airflow Sensor: If you notice your car surging forward or jerking at high speeds, it may be due to a mass airflow sensor (MAF) that is failing. Its job is to measure the amount of air entering the engine so it can relay this info to the car’s computer.
If you notice your car surging forward or jerking at high speeds, it may be due to a mass airflow sensor (MAF) that is failing. Its job is to measure the amount of air entering the engine so it can relay this info to the car’s computer.

4. Bad Fuel Pump or Filter: The cause of your car jerking while accelerating is often a fuel supply issue. When the correct amount of fuel is not being delivered to the engine, it’s often best to start at the beginning.

5 – Dirty Air Filter :Your car’s air filter is the first line of defense against dirt and other foreign particles. A dirty air filter will allow some particles to get into the engine, which in turn will affect performance and cause jerking.

Check the condition of your air filter. If it’s dirty, replace it.

And if you seek to fix this or any other issue related to your engines, do well to send us a message and let's get you fixed up in no time.

Hey, it's Friday !

Asides the fun, remember traffic o..

Traffic is already synonymous with Lagos and this is not looking to end soon.

So, here are a few tips on how to avoid traffic if you're in Lagos.

1. Avoid rush hour:
Staying off the road between 7:30-9:30am and 5:00-7:30 pm will help you to dodge the worst of traffic.

2. Take alternative routes: You know the major traffic trodden routes and bottlenecks - Agric-Ikorodu, Third mainland bridge, Berger long bridge avoid them like plague

3. Use apps: Google maps,Uber, Bolt and the likes can save you and help you reroute.

4. Listen to Lagos traffic radio: Radio 96.1 explains congestion and roadblocks. Tune in to stay informed before traffic deforms you

5. Be vigilant: This is for you behind the wheel. Drive defensively. A collision in traffic is a note to further delay.

6. Leave Early: This is one of the best options if you want to be safe. Just leave at least an hour or more before 4pm.

Oya o, start moving if you don't want to add to the stress you already experienced at the office.

Today, we're talking transmission..

Below ,are signs that you need to fix your transmission as soon as possible..
Ignoring any of them , will definitely lead to a total damage and sometimes engine knocks.

1. Refusal to Switch Gears

If your vehicle refuses or struggles to change gears, you are more than likely facing a problem with your transmission system.

2. Burning Smell

When you notice any burning smells coming from your car, you should visit an auto shop right away. This odor can be an indication that your transmission is overheating or the transmission fluid is old and burnt.

3. Noises When in Neutral:
If you are lucky, the noises may indicate that your car is ready for new transmission fluid, which would be flushed and replaced by a professional.

On the other hand, it could also mean that your car requires a replacement or further service by a professional auto mechanic.

4. Leaking Fluid

Leaking transmission fluid is one of the easiest transmission problems to identify. If you notice a red, sweet-smelling fluid underneath your car in the garage or a parking lot, let your mechanic know they need to check the transmission fluid level and inspect for possible leaks.

5. Check Engine Light

A lit-up check engine light on your dashboard can indicate a variety of car issues – both minor and serious. But make sure a local technician takes a look in case the source of the problem is imperative

6. Grinding or Shaking:

More common in cars with an automatic transmission is any type of grinding or shaking that occurs when the gears change. This often is a sure indication that your transmission has a problem.

Like ,share and help out someone with transmission issues on your timeline .

Just before buying that car, here are few tips to ensure you don't get yourself into trouble by purchasing a stolen car.

1.RESEARCH THE VEHICLE:
Before making any purchase, it’s important to do your homework. Make sure to check the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and make note of any significant markings or damage that might be peculiar to stolen cars.

2. REQUEST A VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT (VHR):
When you’re shopping for a used car, it is important that you have an idea of what kind of vehicle you’re about getting into – and that includes knowing its past. Request a Vehicle History Report (VHR) from the dealership before making your purchase, which will include detailed information on the make and model of any cars being offered for sale.

3. Avoid purchasing from private sellers:
If the prospective seller isn't a licensed dealer or a close friend that you already know too well, in other to stay out of trouble, try avoid the deal.
Most of the time, some of the these cars may not have not been well maintained or inspected, and there’s a higher likelihood that they might be stolen vehicles.

A lot of local mechanics have been tagged as liars with very zero integrity..true

However, there are still a few good ones out there ..You just need to know how to deal with them when you eventually encounter a very skilled one.

These are a few ways that we have researched on how you can keep some of the good ones.

1. Be a bit liberal when negotiating Service fees:
Please don't always try to get the best deals every time you visit the mechanic, especially if they know you are capable of matching the figures. Some car owners will rather start a fight with the mechanic when the guy mentions his fee and will end up spending 30 - 45 minutes beating down the price. If you do this consistently every time you visit the workshop, you will have a history that may not really favor you. There may be times that you are genuinely low on cash and need a favor from your mechanic, but since your history precedes you, you may not be assisted.

2. Overpay sometimes:
Yes, you heard me right! This trick always seems to work in helping build a solid relationship with mechanics. I know money is not so easy to come these days, but if you want to save yourself some money in future you may have to invest it in some way and one way to do this is to offer your mechanic extra cash after he/she finishes working on your car. Why not tip in extra N1,000 or N1,500 on the bills and see if you won't get the best services the next time you visit that workshop.

3.Be loyal if you believe you have found a good mechanic :

These days it can be difficult to find a mechanic that fits this description and still remains honest. Sometimes they might be very experienced and good at the job but are just too dishonest and will find every means to rip you off while some might be honest, but less experienced
However the case maybe, Loyalty is the key. If you have found a mechanic that is trusted, one that has diagnosed your car correctly every time and has fixed every issue properly then you must try every means to keep them happy and one way to do that is to stay loyal and stick with this mechanic.

Can you relate with any of these?

On this same day in 1903 a lady named Mary anderson received her very first patent for the first windshield wiper.

The Alabama native was inspired on a trip to New York, observing how streetcar drivers had to open windows to see ahead in poor weather.

Not one automaker took interest in this woman’s game-changing invention. But by 1922, made windshield wipers standard on its cars.

So yes, a lady invented the wipers you all are used to on your cars..😎
