"COLLABORATIVE COMPASSION: A HEALTH CRUSADE FOR THE ELDERLY PEOPLE AND YOUNG GIRLS"

In a remarkable demonstration of compassion and collaboration, the Compassionate God Charity Foundation and the Franciscan Handmaids of the Most Pure Heart of Mary (FHM) Sisters joined forces to host a transformative Free Medical Care Outreach. The event, which held on Monday, 18th December, 2023 saw the convergence of healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members in a collective effort to uplift the health and well-being of the elderly people and young girls in Emeabiam Community.

The foundation's medical team, in tandem with the dedicated FHM Sisters, conducted an array of crucial health tests, leaving no stone unturned in addressing the diverse needs of the attendees. From vital signs and blood pressure to blood sugar levels, malaria parasite screenings, Quantum Energy Analysis (For a Comprehensive body scanning) and meticulous eye checkups, the comprehensive nature of the medical examinations aimed to provide a thorough health assessment for over 80 elderly individuals present at the event.

One of the poignant aspects of the outreach was the concurrent focus on women's health. Following the medical examinations, a sensitization talk on menstrual hygiene management was conducted, shedding light on essential aspects of feminine health. Subsequently, over 30 young girls were generously provided with free sanitary pads, emphasizing the commitment of both organizations to holistic care.

The distribution of drugs as part of the outreach exemplifies the foundation's dedication to making a tangible impact on the health of the elderly. By ensuring access to essential medications, the Compassionate God Charity Foundation goes beyond diagnosis to actively contribute to the ongoing well-being of the community.

The generosity and collaborative spirit of the Compassionate God Charity Foundation and the FHM Sisters did not go unnoticed. The founder of the foundation and the Convener of the Free Medical Care Outreach, Ezinwa Amb. Mbata Ikenna Charles in his comment while addressing Newsmen, expressed his profound gratitude to all who played a role in making the program a resounding success such as Enddy Nation Farms Limited, Catholic LightTv, Engr. Sir Osondu Opara, Johnboss Music Concept, Chizu Enyinnaya, Regina Oluharaotu, Chioma Pearl, And the Medical Team Lead by Sr. Dr. Getrude Ihenacho (FHM), the Sister Nurses and all the Nurses in the volunteers team coordinated by Nurse Ukanwa Chioma, and the Project Coordinator James Roks. Adding that their collective efforts underscored the power of community-driven initiatives in addressing healthcare disparities.

He also Thanked the paramount Ruler HRH Eze Engr Eunan Eke Okpo 1 of Umuokpo and Also His Mentor in Community Development initiatives Hon Rogers Nwoke who welcomed the initiative when it was birthed, not leaving behind the Umuikea Village Council Chairman and his executives for the permission to use the venue

In attendance were over 80 elderly individuals and 30 young girls, each benefiting from the expertise and compassion of the collaborative medical teams. High Chief Richard Ofoegbu in the company of his family, friends and well-wishers gathered on the 30th of November, 2023 to bid fair well to the remains of their beloved Wife, mother and Mother-in-Law, Chief Lady Queen Charity Onyemaechi Ofoegbu at their Nekede Country home.

The Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Egbu the Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okoroafor and his Beautiful wife Mrs Ngozi Okoroafor was present to officiate the burial Service at Emmanuel Anglican church Umualum, Nekede.

A Man Of God Laid to Rest

On Thursday 23rd November, 2023 the Remains of the Venerable Philip Chikwendu Ekeocha was laid to rest at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Umualum Nekede.

The Late Venerable Philip Chikwendu Ekeocha was a missionary whom through him God planted Many Church in the Diocese and beyond.

The Venerable who retired over 20 years ago but was never tired in the service of God. He was active even up until death.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Egbu Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okoroafor and who is who in the Anglican Communion and other dignitaries gathered to bid the Renowned Venerable Philip Chikwendu Ekeocha a journey Mercies to the church triumphant.
