Did you know?

That snakes do run out of venom. Yes they do. There are certain amount of venom in every snakes and they do exhaust it after a certain number of consecutive bites.

That is why snakes do regulate how many times they bite. They do bite depending on what is attacking them. They venom they pour out for humans is different from the amount of venom they pour out on other animals or predators.

In a case where they fight other predators consistently, they run out of venom. During this period, they do not have venom in them even if they bite humans, however, they may cause serious wound.

When snakes run out of venom, they will need to wait for about some weeks before the gland secrets another venom. Some snakes like the rattle snakes and the black mamba will have to wait for a whole month to have their venom refilled.

Street football rules The old days :
1. No referee.
2. The game ends either when players are tired or at the Maghrib (sunset) call to prayer.
3. The score is 23-22.
4. A penalty is given if a player swears on god.
5. The chubby person becomes the goalkeeper 😝.
6. If the ball owner gets angry, he take the ball, and the game is over 😁.
7. The fouls is counted if everyone agrees 🙃.
8. The wal is a good player and can be in your team side at any time 😁.
9. An extra player is allowed if the teams are not equal 😂
10. Goalkeepers can be changed during a penalty kick 😆.
11. If the ball goes over the crossbar, the game pauses for half an hour to discuss whether it's a goal or not 😄.
12. The ball owner plays for the stronger team 😝.

Yes, I learnt this few days ago

Few days ago, I was with a friend who dropped out of school due to certain issues.

While we were discussing, I asked him "How're you doing with school?

Immediately I asked him, I noticed his mood changed, he waved off the topic.

I didn't bother him again, I brought out another topic and we laughed over it

Many of us are fond of intruding people's privacy. Asking questions that can stir up sadness in the face, bring the mind back to old memories

You see a woman that was pregnant and you heard very well she had a miscarriage. You see her on the road and still ask "What really happened? How did it go?

Like what do you want her to tell you?

You see someone that lost a closed relative and you still ask questions like "I heard what happened, how did it go?

There are many instances to draw from

We should all try to respect people's privacy.

Don't want to know beyond what someone wants you to know. Especially if it's non of your business.

(1) Pope Obumneme Odonwodo populary known as Junior Pope is a Nollywood actor, model and a philanthropist.

(2) He was born on 7th May 1984 in Bamenda, Cameroun to Mr. and Mrs. Luke Odonwodo.

(3) He hails from Ukehe tribe of Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.
But he grew up in Cameroun.

(4) He completed both his primary & secondary school education in Cameroun before relocating to Nigeria.

(5) After his college he went further to University of Nigeria Nsukka Enugu State and graduated with a degree in Accountancy. In 2006 he joined Nollywood and acted in many movies.

(6) He always plays the role of guard and servant. In 2007 he rose to fame after acting in the blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures” directed by Tchidi Chikere. According to him, it was the award winning movie director “Tchidi Chikere” that brought him to limelight.

(7) He has acted in over 100 movies which include Secret Adventures, Mad s*x, Bitter Generation, Vengeance of Bullet, etc. In 2010 he won the award for Nollywood Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Entertainment Factory Awards.

(8) On 26th July 2014 Junior Pope got married to Jennifer Awele Okpuno and the couples are blessed with three boys.

Unfortunately, the actor died on April 10th, 2024 while shooting a movie in Asaba, Delta State.

Junior Pope is really gone and it's been officially confirmed by the doctors that tried all they could to save him after drown!ng in the river Niger for more than 1hr. 😭😭😭

Initially he was taken to the mortuary when his body and that of one other victim who was onboard the capsized boat was recovered. Attendants at the mortuary noticed he still had faint pulse beats and quickly rushed him to the hospital.. The first hospital had no oxygen and he was rushed to another where a team of doctors tried all they could to save him but he finally gave up the fight and was pronounced dead at 9pm this evening.

I just made a very big mistake in my kitchen now

I wanted to prepare custard, instead of using cold water to dilute the custard first, I mistakenly poured hot water into it.

The biggest challenge now is that I have been trying to turn the custard but the spoon has refused to move.

😩😩😩

It is 11:30 pm and I'm on the street looking for Akara, fried with charcoal.

It is for my pregnant wife. I've even offered to fry it for her at home, she refused. She wants commercial Akara, fried with charcoal.

I know she's on a revenge mission. She's trying to pay me back for my outburst earlier this evening.

It all started 10 weeks ago, when I brought two chicks home to raise free range. We shared the chicks equally there and then, one for her and the other for me. Although, that day, she asked me what of the one for her baby in the womb. I querried "Aha! Baby in the womb dey eat chicken?" She kept quiet. I didn't know the matter still remained in her mind.

I got home one day when the chicks were 8 weeks old. She served me rice with chicken head and legs. "Where did you get chicken from?" I asked her suspiciously.. "I killed my chicken" she replied.

"Okay ooo" " So, where's mine?" I asked, still suspicious

"At the backyard, in the pen" she answered non interestingly.

"So, why did you decide to slaughter yours now?" I asked further. She explained that she was craving chicken with plenty pepper.

"Okay ooo, but why am I getting just the head and the legs nah?"

"Can't I eat my chicken in peace?" She retorted. And continued by lecturing me of why I should be grateful that she even gave me from her chicken.

I kept quiet. I suppressed the urge to let her know that I was the one that bought them in the first place. And that I've been responsible for their feeding. Anyway, I consoled myself that my own is alive and waiting for me.

Today, two weeks later, I returned home from work and my wife served me rice with chicken head, neck and legs. My suspicion shot up. "Where did you get the chicken from?" I almost shouted.

"Your baby wanted to eat chicken this morning, so I...."

"Don't you dare tell me you killed my chicken ooo" I was shouting now.

"I had to, your baby wanted it"

"Which baby? The one in the womb?"

Let me be sincere with you, I was livid wit
