Breast self examination is a breast self exam for the inspection of your breast that you do on your own.

You use your eyes and hands to determine if there are any changes of your breast through looking and feeling
HOW TO PREPARE FOR IT
💊 ASK YOUR DOCTOR FOR A DEMONSTRATION: Before you begin breast examination, you may find it helpful to discuss the instructions and techniques with your doctor/nurse

💊 IF YOU MENSTRUATE, CHOOSE A TIME IN YOUR CYCLE WHEN YOUR BREAST ARE LEAST TENDER: The best time to perform a self exam for your breast is usually the week after your period ends

HOW TO DO IT
Being with a visual(eye) examination of your breasts
Sit or stand without shirt and a bra in front of a mirror with your arms at your side and do the following;

💊 face forward and look for puckering, dumping, or changes in size,shapes or symmetry

💊 check to see if your ni***es are turned in( inverted)

💊inspect your breasts with your hands to press down on your hips

💊 inspect your breasts with your arms raised overhead and palms of your hands pressed together

💊 lift your breasts to see if ridges along the bottom are symmetrical

🤔🤔 if you can't see properly while looking at the mirror, you can ask a family member or a trusted friend to help you do it
