2024 UTME: JAMB fixes dates for registration, examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,JAMB,says the registration for its 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination,UTME begins on January 15,2024 and ends on February 16,2024.

Similarly,the board,in a statement on Wednesday, said it fixed March 7,2024 for its
2024 MOCK-UTME, while the main UTME will hold from April 19 to 29,2024.

In the statement released by its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin,the board explained that the dates were fixed "based on the series of recommendations emanating from a two-day Information Technology (IT) and Management Retreat held between 26th and 28th, November, 2023,"

According to JAMB,"Candidates are expected to print their examination slips as from 10th April, 2024."

The statement read in full:"Based on the series of recommendations emanating from a two-day Information Technology (IT) and Management Retreat held between 26th and 28th, November, 2023, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has fixed 15th January to 26th February, 2024, for the sale of its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application document.

"Meanwhile, 7th March, 2024, has been slated for the 2024 MOCK-UTME, while the main UTME will hold from 19th to 29th April, 2024.

"Candidates are expected to print their examination slips as from 10th April, 2024.

1. Proceed online to your JAMB Profile, effect change of course to your desired programme in strict compliance to the UTME and O’level combinations required to your programme of choice. (Use the change of institution link)
2. Wrong combinations for your choice programme will cause disqualification.
3. Upload your O’level/A’level results on JAMB portal.
4. Make payment of N12, 000.00 only through your profile in the
University portal for processing of your admission in the supplementary batch. Select your preferred new Course of Study from the University portal. Check the IBASS for admission requirements before choosing your Course of Study.
5. Thereafter continue to monitor your admission on JAMB CAPS to know when you have been offered admission.
6. Application will be open from Friday October 27th 2023-Friday 12th
November, 2023- (Two Weeks only). There will be no extension of deadline.
7. All candidates desirous of seeking for UTME or Direct Entry
Admission into any of the above-listed programmes may immediately apply.
NB: Applicants must score 140 and above to qualify for admission into the above-listed Departments. Kindly login to your JAMB profile, do a change of Course to the Course to your desired programme. Also, login to the University portal, register using the registration link and select your preferred Course option.

Kindly Note that there are subjects required to study a course. This infers that your subjects combination both in O'level result and Jamb UTME must correlate with your aspired course of study. Negligence to this; may defer your Admission or get your course changed by school.

And most importantly, note that no one can upgrade Jamb UTME aggregate!!!

*So what do I progress on after JAMB UTME?*

Sales of school form is yet to commence. So wait patiently for it.

1. Get your O'level result ready, and ensure to have gotten five(5) credit passes in your relevant subjects (Math & English inclusive)

2. Ensure to have documents like; Local govt. attestation, birthday certificate/affidavit, Jamb UTME result, O'level result and recent passports... at your disposal

3. If you are yet to make a university your first choice of institution, kindly do immediately or risk not being offered provisional admission. Note that this action can only be done twice, *and ensure to have done the change of institution before printing out your original Jamb UTME result!!!*

4. Login to JAMB CAPS so as to verify that your details are correct. Most importantly, your O'level result. If year, grades... are not correct or not reflecting properly, *REUPLOAD IMMEDIATELY!* Or *NO ADMISSION!!!*

5. Aspirants who used ‘awaiting result’ in registering for Jamb UTME should ensure they upload it on/before the commencement of Admission

6. Jamb has set their cut off mark to 140 but institutions might set their cut off mark above Jamb cut off mark.
So might sure to check school's cut off mark before applying

7. Your name in O'level result must be same in Jamb UTME result. If otherwise, apply for correction of bio data

8. Either Screening or post utme will be conducted for ASPIRANT

9. After effecting all these, wait patiently for the sales of school form which will be brought to your notice by Admins, upon its commencement.
