My emphasis is on the word beneficial.

And I'm speaking to young business owners or will I say small business owners who want to build to last.

Those who want to leave a legacy.

Those who want to retire early and well. Not working at old age.

I'm speaking to me.

You must think longevity. Long term.

I had a lot of thoughts on this after listening to some thought provoking messages and studying.

Well...have been hearing this....but the discipline to do was not in me. But after careful thoughts I have decided to embark and so help me God.

I have decided to put myself on a salary and dedicate a greater part of the income left into the business after removing the tithe of it of course.

For development and promotion etc.

Now... it's my money... according to Paul...I have the right to chop and clean mouth, I am allowed to.

It's my business I am permitted to...

But the question is...is it beneficial to you and the business in a long term?

Pause and think.

I once saw a post on the Internet on how a lot of creative are mostly/always broke.

They get paid a lot but the skill of management they lack.

When the money starts coming in we allow ourselves to be controlled by it.

We allow ourselves to be enslaved by it.

We start buying stuff we ought not to.

It is permissible but is it beneficial?

Think and awake.

Africa must arise. We must build to last.

The most difficult part of setting up an ad is targeting...

That's why I wasn't surprised when a colleague friend of mine said he was charging 20k to set up targeting alone.

I was flabbergasted.

But instead of showing empathy.

He hurled. Tempt. Become desperate and provocative like Satan did to Jesus while tempting him...
..."if you are the son of God. Jump... if you are the son of God turn stone to bread"...


Sometimes It's not about what you advertised it's how you advertised.

This is how a lot of business owners behave with their ad assets (copies & creatives). They come off desperate and proud.

They hurled...


All the second thief did was show empathy, then sell and deal was close.

He recounted his past actions and acknowledged his wrongdoing, (show responsibility)

Showed empathy and emotional connection.

And with this powerful technique he was able to engage Jesus, create emotional resonance, and build rapport.

We humans are emotional beings.

And it's researched that people buy from a place of emotions and back it up with logic.

And so, as an advertiser Until you are able to relate/connect with people's feelings...

Not sounding "intelligent" with your persuasive sales pitch/ and plenty offers...cos truth is this days people know these tricks we all know it's copywriting...

Been doing a lot of thinking lately... I no no whether na because I broke or wetin 😂😂😂

Thoughts like...

Why didn't I start saving from my early age? Let's say at 20 daily.

I would have been 73k richer by 20.

Let's say at 20 I increased my savings from 20 Naira to 200 Naira which was ofcourse very possible then.

I would be 730k richer at 30.

Let's say at 30 I increased my savings to 2000 daily.

I would be 7.3M richer at 40

Add it all together. I will be 8.1M+ richer.

With this I can conveniently buy up to 8 plots of land in a not so village kind of place today.

This estimation is even if you were born into a poor family.

I remember we normally come in contact with 5, 10, 20, 50 Naira then but we consume on sweets and gums, knockout etc.

We didn't know any better anyways.

Now this post isn't about me nor for children because I know say no pikin dey follow me.

It's for parents and youth that will be parents. Imbibe in your kids a saving culture.

Teach them to save, help them save.

In Winners Chapel after the naming ceremony of the child... an offering is given to the kid with advice to the parents to open an account for the kid and save the money.

But I doubt most parents do that...

But I think this is one good way to train up a child then wealth will not depart from that family.

A lot of the times I take a look at the richest men in the world...

At least the part I can see; which is their outlook... their lifestyle and I see the simplicity of it and I discovered the reason we are where we are...

Even the richest man in Africa. Our own Dangote.

The rich don't look rich yet they are rich.
It's not about looking it's about being.

When people lack value they find alternatives.

Everything looks expensive when a valuable person wears it.

That's why some people would want to look expensive to be valuable by so doing they're
continuously losing valuables.

This type of people hardly can build wealth long-term.

Those who build houses don't waste blocks for that's the material a house is build with.

Learn to manage your finances...

I was in this shuttle bus last week trying to pick up something from the next junction from mine.

When this old woman stopped us and was trying to get in...

Yeah she was old and needed help getting into the bus and getting out.

She was going to the market.

I felt bad. I always do when I see old people having to still work so hard in their old age. God have mercy.

In my mind...she is supposed to be home... taking a walk around her compound, getting things done for her while she relaxes, sipping some juice, watching some movies, playing with grand children... or checking her fruits in her garden...

Not jumping buses.

Wanna probably just visit the market, her driver should take her... then she can enjoy her ride and then just do her thing in the market for the fun of it.

But it probably wasn't so.

And may never be so for most of us when we grow old.

I don't know if it's destiny or whatever...

But everyday I wake up... I'm reminded of this one thing...

"You're not gonna be young forever... work hard now. Do everything you gotta do to build wealth for old age when you'll have no more strength now that you still have the energy "

Your children aren't your retirement plan. They may have their own share of bad luck and foolishness... or whatever...

But you...do your best. Change the narrative.

Maximize your youth. Work now. Play later. Play now work later.

Furthermore, In life, it's not all about hard work.

Get knowledge, Get wisdom. Get understanding.

Ask questions. Meet the right people. Build the right association.

And most importantly know God.

Sh*ts happens I know... and I pray we find mercy and favor in time so our hard work will pay off.

While some are just outrightly off course like the donkey. They won't learn.

They'll argue to death.

My only fear is their gullible followers. For the companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Dear youth...in today's world. Don't follow people for their popularity and fame. Follow for their wisdom.

For example, you see those comedians that promote betting...it's not betting that brought them to that level. It's hard work.

The other day I also saw a content creator promoting yahoo...

Hard work pays different because Hardwork is different.

"Hard work" don't pay more, intelligence (in terms of market segmentation, branding etc.) and competence (in terms of value, confidence, pricing etc) does.

What the truck pucher does is equally hard work. Infact, he works even harder than others that are paid more.

Let me use my story to explain...and round up with some illustrations.

1. Understand the value you bring to the table. Not just your skill now, your experience, your expertise.

2. Package it as something of great value. Branding. Na the difference between pekere for hold up and plaintain chips for supermarket.

3. Position your service or product in front of people who will understand and appreciate that value and are able to pay premium for it. That's market segmentation. Everybody shouldn't be your client.

The difference eva water can be 200 on the street and 1k in some hotels or eatery. SAME bottle water.

Hard work fit no kill but e fit cos stress and make you breakdown.

I told you of our web designer guy that broke down abi...and had to be hospitalized abi. Na hard work cos am.

Yea so, Work hard differently so you can get paid well.

Today I have less clients and even more pay.

When some people come and I bill them, they run...it simply means...you are not my target audience.

And so the one I have, I put in more energy and time to give the best.

And I pray for wisdom of engagement.

I pray God colors our efforts and covers our errors.

The key words here are discernment, engagement, management and investment.

Don't suffocate personal instructions, revelation and experiences to the public just because you are overly excited and intoxicated about your new found knowledge.

Some issues are so sensitive it can destroy lives and society at large.

So, be mature enough to come to a place of this understanding that it's not every knowledge you come in contact with that you must share simply because you got Social Media and an audience of people following and you must post consistently to satisfy the hungry algorithm.

Wisdom is not just knowing what to do...is also knowing why, when, where and how to do it.

In all thy getting...get wisdom and the understanding that wisdom is a principal thing.

And to add...never doubt others realities! I think it's foolishness to think that because you haven't experienced it, known or seen someone who has, made it false...

Our dealings are different
Our assignment
Our journey
Our route
Our lineage
Our belief
Our upbringing...etc
Even our way of receiving and understanding information base on our software...

God is the only one that truly understands us all better.

Let's respect each other...

And if any of our ways misconstrued the societal values let's teach/share and correct in love.

Can we start normalizing not cutting our "coat according to the available material"?

I think it's neutralizing our minds capacity and capability to do more...

It's celebrates laziness and promotes mediocrity.

Our mind is an elastic...the more we stretch it...the more result it produces.

It's like orange...the more we press, the more juice we can get out of it.

Resignating to fate keeps it stagnant and anything stagnant for too long loss it's powers.

Any potential not utilize will diminished.

A spring not stretch might get rust, break and lost its potential.

And so, instead of cutting our coat according to the available material why don't we go back home...

And see how to make up the material to fit what we really desire sew. The kind of coat we really desire to sew.

Contentment is not accepting what ever comes our way....it's the patient to wait while working for what we really desire.

Go home....work more harder...come back and buy the full material for your coat 😉

Don't settle for less.

Don't pamper mediocrity.

Average isn't an option.

What do you do when a well performing/ converting ad starts underperforming?

The number one reason for this is called ad fatigue...

It's when a particular ad is shown to the same audience over and over again...

The quickest solution to this is to put out another content (copy & creative)

Or create another audience with the same content.

It was really frustrating because we had some jobs we were supposed to deliver this week and the client was on us.

Had asked him to get an assistant but based on previous experiences he preferred handling all tasks by himself which is really telling on him.

This is the second time he's breaking down.

Dear creators please pay attention to your health.

What's the point of making so much money only to spend on health.

Please have a work schedule... if you must work overtime then you must be paid overtime.

If you have much work on your desk already please don't collect again.

Outsource it to a capable hand. And if you don't trust any capable hand please Pass that money...pass.

Get an assistant and by all means duplicate yourself. Train them to your taste.

If you are not available trust me life will go on. Only a healthy man can make money.

Prioritize your health.
Eat healthy
Exercise
Rest and have a good sleep when you have to.

Money will always be available you won't.
