A WOMAN IN HER PAIN
I am a woman
A black woman
Naked but then clothed
Like Africa, an inventor without credit.
I have a voice without a pitch to speak
Earning hands without the labourers freewill to work
My freedom is trampled
My ideas are robbed and taken
Gratified as a man's wealth
Treated as his slave
Served pain as though it were food
Locked into a mental prison to remain a wife
A wife to a beast
Gone to court
Gone to church
Gone to hell and back tell me how to cope
Had I sinned to be a woman ?
Birth, a fragile soul, innocent body
Wrapped behind me
The only way out is death
But what about the infant?.

Title: Who is a Woman?
Men and women.
Only a Legend exist betwixt.
Who is weak or strong?
Who is superior? Is it mystery?
For centuries dating Ancient.
Philosophers of old have relegated women.
To the bleachers of society.
To the junkyard of power.
For ages kings and kingdoms have fallen.
Under the cruel subtle spell of women's charm.
History's papyrus are choked with names.
David, Sampson, Solomon
All by sheer wit have they come to ruin.
This is the power of a woman.
Then who is a woman?

Title: Nature and The Lady
As the sun set sail to return into the seas.
I sat at the balcony swinging my legs.
It was a beehive of activities.
As the Earth's creatures scrambled home.
From the birds flocking to their nests.
To the ants scattering frantically to their shelters.
As the last beam receded from my face.
I retired to my room to taste of nature's seasoned delights.
I spent minutes of intervals between, to ponder of the lady I met.
I leaped unto my bed and stitched my eyes shut.
No sooner had my eyes been shut than I began to dream.
Truly the lady's beauty was without measure.
Her smile was like the warming spring sun.
With the lady in my dreams I'd sleep forever.
