Difference between oyster and clams.

Many persons who order for clams often refer to it as oyster. So, I decided to find out if both are actually the same.

I did my research and found out that there different although they're both seafood.

So here we go;

The main difference between clams and oysters lies in their shell shape and anatomy.

Clams typically have symmetrical, oval-shaped shells, while oysters have irregular, rough shells that are more elongated

Clams and oysters are both bivalve mollusks, but they have distinct differences.

Clams have a soft body enclosed in a smooth-hinged shell, while oysters have a rough and irregular-shaped shell.

In terms of taste, clams tend to have a sweeter and milder flavor, while oysters are known for their briny and rich taste.

I even found out that oysters sometimes have pearls in them but clams do not. 😂

I'm still selling clams with shell for as low as 3000 a custard.
