Everything happens for Good Truly!

I had a not-too-good experience with a customer sometime last year.
She was referred to me by another customer of mine whom I was supplying crayfish.

She bought from me the first time & was satisfied but no feedback (I had to call to ask if she was ok with the items, and she said yes).
She came again, items supplied, no positive nor negative feedback yet again.

It continued till our 5th transaction...this time,she had a shortage at her end (from my end, the measurement was complete), this happened because the crayfish was too dried & probably a heavier bag of goods was placed on it.

Just this one time... I received the highest insult of my life, abuse & threat of sending it back. I tried explaining the ethics of the crayfish business but she didn't want to listen (By the way, the shortage wasn't much, just one custard less).

This customer abused me as if we've had a prior issue before now.
After she finished raining abuses & all that, she ended the call & refused to pick up my calls.

I dropped an apology message & also advise her to start buying elsewhere.

After a week, she called that she needed crayfish, I told her I didn't have any. She kept calling each market day...and I'll tell her I'd paused the business for now.

To cut the long story short, today we are like 5&6, if it's not PGolden Foods Enterprise no one else. She now refers people to me.

Some troublesome customers are blessing in disguise.

Finally crayfish price decided to drop.

Things to Note about crayfish business👇

✅ There are few things you need to know about trading crayfish. If not, you will burn your fingers.

➡️ The more crayfish stays, the more it reduces in size.(it's natural not vendor's fault)

➡️ If you buy crayfish that have moisture more than what can keep it in form; one of these two would happen; the crayfish will develop mold or white ants infestation. In either case, you will lose.

➡️ Some crayfish sellers bag crayfish with dirt while using the clean ones to cover them. If you buy this type, it will be challenging for you to sell, because if you sell it with dirt's to your customers, you might lose customers who assume you are giving them less quality crayfish. And if you seived it before selling, you won't get same quantity and you'll lose still.

It's not always rosy. There's no striving business without the ups & downs🤏

HOW TO PREVENT THE SMELL OF CRAYFISH:

If you don't like the smell of crayfish in your kitchen or store, all you need to do is to get baking soda. Pour it inside a cup and leave it open , place it where you are storing/packaging the crayfish. This way you can never perceive the smell of crayfish.
