Join us in addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time - climate change. It is our responsibility to take action to minimize its adverse effects on the environment, health, and livelihoods.
We draw your attention to the Mkpanak community in Ibeno, who have suffered the impact of reckless oil exploitation for over 61 years. Their water and land have been severely impacted, threatening their very existence.
As financial institutions that wield immense power and influence, big banks have a unique role to play in mitigating the effects of climate change. That is why we, Enactus University of Uyo, are calling on them to by investing in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and other climate-friendly initiatives. We urge these big banks to use their influence to advocate for policies that support climate action.
