Marking of the Noise landscape design.

This piece is based on the Perlin noise function. That's what gives it this landscape effect. If you stand away from it, it looks smooth and organic. When you get closer so see a more pixelated effect. That's because this design is made entirely of straight lines. Using both black and red ink adds more contrast to the piece and bring more movement to it.

Recently I worked with and added exclusive designs on their store for the opening of their generative art section. From the 2 collections I proposed, one of them was my pattern algorithm. Making of the voronoi hatch design.

When I first started to work with my pen plotter I made a script to test hatchings methods with different pens. It was a fairly simple program that would just put as many lines as possible on a piece of paper following certain shapes. It had no other purpose than that.
But eventually I started to play around with it and added a Voronoi pattern to it. It turned this practical script into a more visually appealing one. The organic effect of the Voronoi pattern blends well with all the parallel lines that compose the design
