Did you know that CryoSlimming works anywhere you can squeeze the fat? ❄️

During the treatment we freeze fat cells, so that circumference loss is already achieved within one treatment. During the Cryo-Fat Freezing treatment, the fat cells are heated, cooled and broken down. The shrinking of the cells causes a natural programmed cell death. In Korea they are already very advanced in various types of technology, including their use of skincare. For example, research has shown that in Asia 80% of the money spent in the beauty industry in Korea is spent on skincare and not on make-up. In many other countries you often see this the other way around. Using Korean skincare methods at the salon we’ve been seeing great results with every skin type :)

Before we start any treatment with our clients we always make sure to get a proper scan of their skin first. This way we’re able to look deeper into the skin layers which allows us to get a clear picture of the pigment damage. Based on this we can accurately inform you about you about your skin condition at the moment and give you fitting advice.

Taking care of your skin is important at any age, but when do you really start with skincare?

To be fair, any time to want to start is the right time if you ask us. ''Better late than never.''

However, for many the need to start taking care of your skin already bubbles up around puberty. This is the moment when the skin can start to change characteristically for the first time. This is due to the hormones in our body that are strong around our teenage years and can fluctuate a lot. So you could say that you can start with skincare around the age of 12/15.

But in our opinion; it's never too early 😉

It is so important to keep your skin really hydrated during these cold days. 💦

In the salon we regularly encounter people with active or non-active rosacea.
Rosacea is a skin condition that can be accompanied by inflammation, pimples, and capillaries that are affected. The exact cause of this is unknown, but certain ingredients can help keep it under control. Such as creams containing metronidazole, azelaic acid or ivermectin.

How was Skin Amsterdam actually born?

Well... Once upon a time, there were two brothers Koen and Pim. They were looking for an account manager to sell the Cryo machine, which till this day is still our biggest showpiece at Skin by the way! They found Winke, she wanted to combine the account management with practicing as an esthetician in the salon. And so it began.

Microdermabrasion in a tube. This very fine scrub and peeling with 12% glycolic acid and scrub particles cleanse the skin intensively. The skin also receives a peeling to remove dead skin cells, making it feel smoother and softer. A great product if you ask us! Also perfect to use for your body. ✨

What does vitamin C actually do? Vitamin C is known to be a good collagen builder, but also works as an antioxidant. It ensures that you daily put on your vitamin c serum that strengthens your spf because it protects against free radicals.

In addition to good SPF for the face, we can certainly not forget the lips, did you know that your lips actually burn the fastest compared to the rest of your face. We often get the question “how do I get rid of my blackheads”. Everyone has tallow in his or her skin, if we didn't have it, we couldn't move. It is also popularly referred to as lubricating grease.
