My favorite pianist Ahmad Jamal passed away at the age of 92 yesterday (16-4-23). Ahmad is considered as one one of the most influential jazz musicians of all-time. His first album came out in 1955 and in 2017 he released the magnificent album Marseille. In this mix I have put my favorite tracks by him including Poinciana, The Awakening, Patterns, Swahililand, Waves, the funky track Boatride, a great version of Feeling Good, ending with Marseille and much more. Ahmad will be missed!
