Plots Claimants in Ntungamo Municipal forest reserve are at risk of losing their plots without being compensated.
National Forestry Authority(NFA) reserve members on Tuesday this week opened boundaries within the forest reserve.
Ntungamo Central Forest Reserve has 53 plot claimants and according to Mugabi Stephen David, AG.Director. Directorate of Environment Affairs from the ministry of water and environment, last year 2022 in February said that government doesn't compensate people who encroach its land.
Soon NFA is coming up with timeline notice where by those who encroached will vacate and buildings demolished.
