Our first story takes us to the serene hills of Margraten in Limburg, where the American Cemetery lies. Here, 8,301 American soldiers rest under rows of white crosses and stars of David, surrounded by the peaceful Dutch countryside they helped liberate ⭐🤍. Each marker represents a family forever changed by loss, and a reminder of the heavy cost of freedom.

This sacred place is not just a cemetery; it is a testament to bravery and a sanctuary of gratitude from the Dutch people 🌹. Every year, thousands visit to pay homage, ensuring that the valor and sacrifice of these heroes are never forgotten. As we walk through this hallowed ground, let’s pause and consider the enduring value of freedom, a gift they secured for future generations.

This Labour Day a shout out to our gardners! All year round 24 gardeners work at the most beautiful workplace in the Netherlands. With the planting of bulbs in the fall and when the park is open in the spring, they are supported by another 16 top performers. These 40 heroes build Keukenhof with love. Let's give them a round of applause!

The best excuse for being late ⏰ in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 is:
‘ I’m sorry the bridge was open ‘

But be warned! You can only use it for when you are 5-10min late. Because it doesn’t take much longer to open and close the bridge ;)

Many people ask me ‘Should we go early to avoid the crowds at Keukenhof?’.
It is Monday April 8th, 6pm when I took this picture. I arrived at the park with my guests at 4pm and the park closes at 7:30pm.
Every 15 minutes I see less people and I hear more birds singing their song.
The light at the end of the day is absolutely amazing. So my advice to you is… enter Keukenhof park after 3pm and enjoy the last hours of the day without the crowds.
