Did you know, most people only apply 25-50% of the recommended amount of sunscreen? Dermatologists recommend applying sunscreen very generously.
Use at least 30 grams or 1 ounce — enough to fill a shot glass — to cover the sun exposed skin areas.
Choose a sunscreen with SPF30 or higher absorbing both UVB as well as UVA rays and don't forget to reapply regularly (every two hours and after swimming)!

Did you know there are several Apps that can inform you on your local UV Index?
The UV Index was created to help you make informed decisions about how much time you should spend in the sun and what protection you should use.
The UV Index predicts the risk of UV overexposure on a scale of 0 (minimal risk) to 11+ (very high risk). The higher the UV Index, the greater the strength of the sun’s UV rays and the faster you may burn.
Avoiding sun exposure during mid-day, using UV protective clothing (including a hat and sunglasses), and sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher - you will prevent sunburns. This is especially important for children.
