Welcome to the African Lily
My name is Ellen Nagtzaam and I will be your host (together with my partner Caesar) in the African Lily. We have opened our door of the beautiful townhouse in April 2018 and business is going really well since. We are picking up a lot of guests so far and the first responses are really good (all 5 star reviews!) I am not new in the hospitality industry though, I have been working in the hotel business for many years and used to run my own bed and breakfast in South Africa, which explains all the African decorations in our Amsterdam location.
The private room (The African Lily) is situated in a townhouse build in 1712, located in the heart of the old city 'De Jordaan'
The bedroom and private bathroom have just been renovated. The bedroom in the basement (always cool, even in summer time!) has a comfortable queen size bed and is decorated in a African design. The bathroom (shower and sink) is situated in the room, the toilet (exclusively for guests only) is located outside the room a few steps higher on the split level.
The downstairs living area is open for our guests to sit down and relax, watch television or make use of the fast speed WIFI. Cat lovers will get the chance to meet and socialise with our adorable cat from South Africa, Garfield (only on request, otherwise he will be upstairs and won't bother you)
